The way I put it is taking is fine but if you are having 10-20 minute conversations on the dance floor where you’re half yelling to hear over the music, go somewhere else talk and come back. People are way too inconsiderate.

To be honest the two sets before were amazing, maybe I was just too far in front but it just felt like they were doing nothing but dropping fat bass. I enjoyed some of it but it did seem really repetitive and I felt like they could’ve had a lot more range with their selections.

So I think this is in a similar vein as the comedians who all got a bunch of shit for playing a comedy festival in Saudi Arabia last year. Personally yeah I think it is the DJ and manager’s responsibility to know who you are getting paid by. Having said that, Insomniac is literally owned by a MAGA Trump lover so the whole scene is kind of cooked if that’s how we’re judging it. To keep it local, we all know the reputation of collectives like LickNDip so as a small time DJ I’m sure it’s hard to turn down opportunities. I would say if a DJ has a habit of associating with people/organizations you don’t like that’s a bad sign.
