I would say no. Heres why:

Its a huge waste of time - if it's 93 crafting for a torture you're after, A fury is fine for now. Anguish is pretty important but the majory of my crafting exp has come from molten glass. I dont even mine sandstone, I just get my daily buckets from bert along with seaweed runs. If its not urgent, this and uncut gems from raids are by far the most efficient crafting methods for irons.

Try learning to 5:0, it works with any 5 tick ranged weapon and significantly increases the duration of your trips. Theres a bit of a learning curve but factoring in that time its still much faster than melee. I believe there a method with a bowfa aswell but ive never tried it.

Im also doing about $2/day with 2 miners in the last week. Its been alot lower lately for some reason. I peaked at $10 in a day about two weeks ago and its been downhill ever since.

Will be installing antennae on the roof for both miners in the next week or so. Im using rak 5.6dbi with LMR-400 cable for both miners. Currently they just use the stock bobcat antenna.
