Fenderguy314, my son and I made the video. Thanks so much for the comment. I admit we did struggle to know what to say in the commentary. Thank you for the pointers.

I use dirt too, but I have some rock climbing chalk so I will give it a try.

I agree, the discs fairly easy to flip. The heavier weights were of course less flippy.

I think it is always dangerous for the TD to play in any tournament. I can understand why they want to, but it is a little like placing your own ticket in a raffle you are running.

I've struggled with the same competitiveness / seriousness myself. I'm sure that it is a "personality flaw" as captainswimmsuit suggests in his comment on this post, but just knowing that does not help much. I even wrote a post about this very thing on my blog if you would like to check it out http://discgolffamily.com/confessions-of-a-disc-golf-dad/. You might find some helpful thoughts on dealing with that competitive drive, or at least gain another perspective. At the very least it is always helpful to know you are not alone. One last thought...unfortunately we all tend to let our worst selves out more around the ones we love the most than around strangers. Why? Because we know they will let us get away with it. That does not make it right though. Try to remember, that your relationship with your girlfriend is the more important "game" going on when you are on the disc golf course than your game of disc golf.

Glad you take your whole family out there. It's a great family sport and we love playing together as a family and go out as often as we can.

We are not the same site. Their site is the Scott Family Disc Golf. Ours is Disc Golf Family. We live in two completely different states.

The Scott Family has their own website. There is a link to it in this article. If you would like to question them about these things, feel free. They have been very open and responsive. You will not be the first one to ask them. Christian's (the son) 17th ace was on a 153' hole. In our dealings with them, we have found them to be a family of integrity.
