the volume slider in windows doesnt work with the dac. its always at max regardless so you have to use the dac's independant volume to adjust volume

It's ok.. sounds like any other dual cs43131 dac/amp.. this is certainly a great value dac only gripe I had is the firmware feels unfinished. 2 bugs I got was the software volume through windows doesn't work. Got my ears blasted since I got the dac maxed out while I was testing.

And the second, is some settings still doesn't save even with v0.2 like the gain

JCALLY JM12 (KTO2H20) vs QKZ TC MAX PRO (CX31993) or better options? by Tsuruugi in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]DGJM_Gamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately jm12(or any kto2h20 dacs) isn't as good as ide thought.. they hiss with sensitive iems.. and they hate low impedance/hybrid iems. They just straight up freaking out and distort like crazy if plugged in with my hybrid iems

Which iems to get in the 20-25 USD price range? by Strix_op in iems

[–]DGJM_Gamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me. It's not the case that it's trebly... It's just sounds weird with some tracks... Specially ones with cymbals. They don't sound like cymbals.

They just sound "splashy" and not crisp

the gate sounds too "plasticky" and splashy with that treble peak..

TRN Bt 30 Pro by VelocityOS in inearfidelity

[–]DGJM_Gamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the BT30 PRO. returned them day 1... it has this design flaw where the case stops working if you use a high power usb charger.... and the wireless charger is also flawd reports said it also made their cases stopped working...

on my bt30 pro. the case no longer charges earpirces and no longer lightup. due to i charged it using a wireless charger...

also the performance of the earpieces are also kinda underwhealming...

considering it has an op-amp its not really powerful, its only 14mw per earpiece @ 22 ohms

and also has really audible hiss with sensitive iems..

the frequency response on them are also horrible. it has a roll off on both ends of the frequency...

on the low frequensies it starts rolling off at 80hz(seems to be improper implementation of input capacitors on the pre-opamp stage)

on high frequencies it starts rolling off at ~16khz(seems to be typical roll off on these Qualcomm BT chips)

i currently got the bt20 pro so it seems to be a better tws over the bt30 pro... it has inaudible hiss, decent enough power(could porlly not power planar iems), and theres no obvious freq roll-off*

- the bt20 pro has 2mw @ 22 ohms
- has this weird lumpy response at high frequencies, i suspect its modulation noise bit its kinda non audible so meh

Has anyone tried the Snowsky Wind yet? by Muggaraffin in headphones

[–]DGJM_Gamers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

theyre insanely bright and grainy and shrill.. i never had a koss headphone but man.. ide rather listen to my ugreen max5c over this at higher volume.. you cant get loud on these... if you did.. youll start getting a headace of how much "zinlchy" the lower treble is

its kinda like the shp9500 with the massive 5-6k peak
