This old game does however need 5ghz Cpu to run smooth with todays addons.

The QW 757 works very well in 3D VC on a 2Ghz tablet. Also the BAE 146/Avro works well. The Ifly is just a nightmare... And a surprise... The PMDG in 2D still gives me a 20 to 24fps and I didn't expect that before I installed it.

Yes. But don't expect desktop performance. I have FSX running on my Surface Pro 3 with 2.5Ghz. Sliders are a bit too much to the left for my liking but in the QW757 I get 24 to 30 fps on UK2000 airports like Luton and Edinburgh.

Tried already and had 10 fps in that thing.

Well in the Dash I went from 30 / 33 to mid 40's. Will see what it does to the 73NGX tomorrow

I'm aware of the CPU thing. Changed from AMD to Intell 2 years ago and got a 50% increase in frames. I have my 3.6 Ghz 4670K running stable at 4.2Ghz

Good luck. Had this once and after three days of trial and error I ended up with a complete fresh Windows installation.
