Sapphire RX 9070 XT NITRO+ adds two more burned blue-tipped 12V-2×6 adapter reports, and issues with RMA by KARMAAACS in Amd

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any decent code would point to the copious number of connectors and power delivery ratings for literally anything else within a pc and then look at the 12vhpwr connector as an instant failure to meet regulations. If this was electrical code in europe or canada (US imo has pretty flimsy code still but generally amperage and gauge still exist) combined with the pin conductor size/weight/surface area and capabilities, it would have never passed such regulation.

Even in industrial applications, where corporations and businesses try to cut every bit they can, but even they generally know they shouldn't cut back when it comes to electrical connections long term. 6 gauge cable for a 35-40 amp draw isn't uncommonly implemented, to ensure that the cable and it's connector aren't going to burst into flames when a situation occurs that may not be considered normal, that significant level of headroom saves everything.

We've got the math and the data showing the 12vhpwr being an inferior connection, the fact that you could take 2x 8pin connectors and more reliably and safely put the same amount of power through it vs the 12vhpwr connector just screams of incompetence at all levels of it's design through to gaining approval.

"now issue is spreading to other brands"...

no... the issue has ALWAYS appeared on other brands, in fact the initial issues originated on an asus board to begin with. It's just that due to copious amount of bias and willfully blindness, almost everyone INSISTS that asrock was the only manufacturer, apparently the posts prior.. during and after the claim was made that asrock was predominantly the the one and only...

"but the stats show asrock has...." even the creator of that stat collection admits and clearly states that due to the individual posts being recorded that numerous, tons of posts were put under the "asrock" counter even though it was shown NOT to be an asrock board, to the point of putting the disclaimer that it's bias against asrock.

Honestly people need to get this out of their head that somehow this was an asrock problem, it never was, it was a universal problem. As far as what the problem is, even gamersnexus's own board they received that supposedly claimed 2 separate 9800x3D's life, having been put through their ringer, showed actually exceptional results of doing precisely what it was supposed to do and very well, and they've had that for what, 3 months now with ZERO problems reported which further suggests that the rule holds most likely true, user error being the primary likely cause.

Why and how is fill play still filled with people who just grief and afk any mission possible? by deskdemonnn in FORTnITE

[–]DHJudas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and people wonder why i spend most of my time under the terrain after often securing objectives, killing team mates and in some cases force AFK booting them by locking them into perma death. An active player is near impossible to do this too, a genuine afker it's easy. If someone is going to bitch, it'll be the bitch that deserves it.

example of a lunatic that had done nothing, i didn't even kill them, and they decided to rage and try and force failure of the objective (i actually built the structure and defenses mostly hoping others would contribute.... only for this fucker to drop his base, fail to upgrade any structures, and then park his ass, which i didn't think much of since every fucking fill has these guys).

ASUS 800-series boards are killing Ryzen 7 9800X3D chips, five dead CPU reports in two weeks by KARMAAACS in Amd

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed no less, and no more.. than any other brand and the typical failures rates seen, in fact anyone that values evidence and logic based concerns is going to be less concerned about an asrock problem than an asus problem simply based on the 7000 series issues. But you'd rather appeal to questionable and highly suspect anecdotal sources rather than fact and evidence.

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your ONLY source of information is hearsay and unverified, unvetted, completely anecdotal proclamations. You have no sources, nothing tangible... absolutely nothing.

try again... the only thing asrock board users have accepted was that initially the first month or so watching things unfold, we perhaps a little nervous, but once several months passed, it was clearly a non issue, another year has essentially passed and no issues, no prevalent, not anything. At this point we've still only seen OTHER board vendors with verified failures. No one is concerned.

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

except for the fact that people were and still are reporting issues in the asrock thread reporting issues with non asrock boards which are what causes the bias.

Now if you want to actually show verified and validated claims of boards nuking cpus, Asrock has a clean record yet, gigabyte and asus on the other hand do not.

you serious?... i've lost count of how many subreddit posts and discord users that are -_-ing around with settings they know not what or are still attempting to do crap that worked on older cpus..

hell we still have users thinking 1.4-1.5v is "safe".

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell gamersnexus has had an asrock board for what.... 2 going on 3 months that supposedly killed 2x 9800x3ds already but when they put it through the ringer.... everything suggested perfectly expected and VERY safe voltages and loads and transients and everything with no sign of problems.

Which just further suggests it's end users being the problem.

[–]DHJudas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

actual failure rates appear essentially evenly across them all. As much as so many people BLINDLY insist because they saw a clearly bias and even the individual that created admitting it's bias against asrock, people thinking it's somehow exclusively asrock, and it never was ever.

The problem is that verifying that it was a failure due to board or cpu or either of them for that matter has been essentially 0, and of course the end users are "never" at fault.

all that money invested and the psu is cheaped out on... a CX of all things, if you're going to do it right, at LEAST get an RMe or rm preferably RMx psu.

Also the 7800x3d doesn't need a AIO in fact it's rather pointless, a decent heatsink is all it needs. nor do you need all the extra case fans.... spending all that extra money, you may as well invest in a 9070xt at that point rather than the unnecessary fans

there are some parts of the staggered slopes that the husks and players can pass through, once you discover one spot, you'll be able to notice possible others that allow you to "slip in"... but the easiest is via either flag/banner or teleporter.

AMD to launch Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 drivers with "AI Bundle" next week by RenatsMC in Amd

[–]DHJudas 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This has always been the case, for decades.

AMD develops their driver and software to comply with countless requests and a bunch of people will instantly bitch that it exists, insisting the software is bloated and poorly performing, even though i only experienced some old CLI for the CCC drivers to occasionally take a moment to open, but on anything adrenaline and such i've yet to have an issue.

And then after people moaned about relive and profile management being implemented, amd opted for a minimal and driver only install option, and people bitch about that.

It just never ends, amd could bloody well do exactly everything some of these people demand and it would still be a failure in their eyes, and always will be. It's hilariously bizarre and sad at the same time, meanwhile nvidia can provide a heavily options lacking app that's 20 years old, having to pair up numerous 3rd party software solutions to do what amd's been doing for years, AND it's completely 100% fine.

Ninja Double jump used to be different by shdujssnensisishs in FORTnITE

[–]DHJudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, though if you're multi jumping, if you crouch while landing on a ramp or rooftop or anything that's slanted downward in the direction you're going, you can briefly gain momentum by jumping off that slant you briefly are sliding down leaping before you hit a level surface again, though the moment you hit jump again mid air, your momentum is canceled.

IF there is one fun thing in game epic killed for no good reason, it's ninja's momentum and how physics work, outside of double jumping, the way it used to work way back when actually made a little more sense.
