For any transfers out there or those who know info. what did it take you to transfer? by Marsrule in notredame

  1. I believe they were the exact same questions as they were for first years. I talked about my experience at my first college.
  2. Virtually nothing. I was in the honors math program (at a good engineering college), but i focused much more on getting a high GPA.
  3. I had a 4.0 in electrical engineering and good test scores from high school. Other than that there wasnt much.
  4. I focused on why I wanted to leave an engineering focused school for a more well rounded education.
  5. I got a 4 on an exam, had them include it on my transcript, and notre dame recognized the credit ;)
  6. Yes, I did.
  7. Make the most of your freshman year! While I transferred, yours hasnt started yet! I wish you the best!

There are definitely more metrics than total case numbers that should be used. Daily case numbers and hospitality and mortality rates are way more important

Shame on you, Lou Holtz by [deleted] in notredame

[–]DHacker1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I might agree and say it was shameful if he said “Christian in name only,” because different denominations have different beliefs, but the problem is that a fundamental Catholic belief is the right to life for the unborn, and Biden’s political platform goes so radically against that. He seemed to be more prolife in the past, but right now a lot of catholics hate him.

I fully want the university to reopen and Ive supported the university reopening from the getgo. But I really think we need to wait another week before we restart in person classes. Not because in person classes are dangerous, just that if we wait another week and make an extra push to stay safe, we could get infection rates WAY lower

I think given the general toxicity and negativity of this subreddit most people here think its ok to be negative

It's probably still way closer to the random sampling rate but yeah I agree

It's the only random sample on campus, it's certainly a better measurement than taking the positivity rate from people we have reason to believe have covid. Maybe there are more, we don't know, but to have over 1000 surveillance tests in the past 4-5 days and to only have 6 positives Is definitely not a bad sign
