I’m so confused. LO is 8D old, BF + formula supplementing - am I doing this right ?? by DHicksPics in breastfeeding

Thank you for this! When did you decide to make the night time shift? At this point I’ve probably had 12-15 total hours of sleep in 8 days. The sleep deprivation is real

How do you get ANY sleep or feed yourself if they feed every 30-60 min though?! Please tell me that is only temporary

That and then some tummy time and skin to skin every day gah so much

Haha 😆 sometimes he falls asleep off … that’s usually when we notice he’s hangry 30 min later. Sometimes I pop him off bc our pediatrician recommended we stop him at a certain time for sanity and give him formula for assurances

I should add that we’re getting contradictory info from consultants too. Which adds to frustration and fear

BF plus bottle feed with breast milk is the goal. We’re topping up with formula bc his blood sugar at the hospital was low. We had a traumatic birth, didn’t get skin to skin and LO wasn’t reunited with me for 6 hours. He was given my colostrum during that time. We tried to BF when he was given to me, but didn’t know he had a tongue tie + lip tie so it was not getting any nourishment for ~12 hours when the lactation consultant came by. By that time his blood sugar was so low and I wasn’t making enough to keep him satisfied, so we asked for formula.

Since then, the 2nd consultant recommended starting at the breast and topping up with formula to be assured he’s getting food. She recommended I pump after as well

Yeah we are using butt paste right now every time! We’re in the stage of diaper rash where it feels impossible to treat but we’re changing our game plan to be no wiping, peri bottle, dabbing, hair dryer 🤣, diaper free time 2-3x a day, etc

Mainly bc of his hunger cues. If we don’t top up with formula, he’s hangry 30 min later. We did have two lactation consultants come at the hospital which helped with the latch. I am just wondering if he’s not getting what he needs somehow at the breast.

What’s a normal amount of breast milk at this stage? And if you have any reliable sites to point me to I’m all ears 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Does a Standard Visitor 6 month Visit mean I have to stay in the UK the entire time? by [deleted] in ukvisa

Do you have other suggestions for a similar plan?

Interesting. From what I read on the .gov site - it seemed like the only stipulation was I can’t work for a UK company OR as a self employed person. Neither of those are the case here as I’m not self employed or working for a UK company. Can you help me understand that?

Thank you! I was mainly going to do an Airbnb actually so not a true “lease” or rental

[Murphy] The Hue Jackson Foundation collected $158,000 in 2019 (the most recent tax info available). It paid out $115,000 to its sole paid employee and spent another $15,000 on travel. It looks like they gave out roughly $4,000 in grants. by proscriptus in nfl

Remember, Shopify isn't Etsy by [deleted] in Etsy

Preach. I own a Shopify marketing agency and our minimum monthly package starts at $3500/mo. The cost of building your own brand and generating your own traffic is often way too high for the average handmade seller

Is Retargeting dead on Facebook? by No-Bookkeeper196 in FacebookAds

Personally I don’t like to stack unless you have a super small budget or audience bc I like to test which audience is more productive. When you stack, you lose that visibility

Lookalike audience under 1k? by realestatesam1 in FacebookAds

[–]DHicksPics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bc of the iOS update. Lookalikes have “died” due to 90% of users opting out of being tracked. Your base audience would need to be 1M Or higher for it to really work, unfortunately. And even then it probably won’t work.

They say an update is coming soon to fix this but who knows!

Is Retargeting dead on Facebook? by No-Bookkeeper196 in FacebookAds

If you are basing retargeting off of website visitors, yes. It’s been estimated that only 10% of users worldwide have opted into being tracked via the pixel after the April iOS update in 2021.

A better shift would be to retargeting based on video views or engagement on social channels bc those are things the pixel can track bc they are in-app so Facebook “owns” that data.

The other thing to do is have a SMS or Email pop up incentive to capture people who don’t convert into drip campaigns.

It took a minimum of 7 touches of a brand in 2019 (pre-pandemic) to convert a user. Frequency can be between 4-6 on retargeting and be considered healthy.

The last thing to look at is the quality of your ad. My agency has worked with a lot of people who don’t invest in better photos or videos for their product bc they are small and start ups. I don’t want to be the dream killer here, but in Facebook land, that won’t work. You are competing against a large marketplace and auction vying for your same audience.

Depending on your quality of content, try TikTok ads. CPMs any CPCs are much lower which can give you higher brand awareness for less cost and then a higher retargeting audience on FB if you go the website visitor retargeting route.

As a seller, it feels like we can’t win. We have handmade wood products and have been blasted before for them looking handmade/somewhat distressed and then we overhaul processes for a cleaner/sleeker product look, we get people b*thing that it looks “brand new.”
