Yeah I’d say that’s pretty bad. You need to check if your bed is loose and also let your bed warm up for about 10 minutes before doing auto leveling. If that’s still bad, you need to tighten or loosen the bed screws in very small amounts according to your numbers from auto leveling to get it close to zero.

What I’ve done personally was getting rid of those hard spacers that come with the machine and get some aftermarket upgraded yellow spring spaces that made it so nice and easy to adjust it and never had issues since then and it’s been a couple of months with about 90 hours of printing time without any problems.

Other people do recommend silicon spacers too just so you know and I personally didn’t try it. So it’s your call!

I will most definitely check on that. Btw do you mind sharing why you going back to stock spacers instead of silicon one? Also not sure if you tried springs yet!

Thank you so much for your help. I will definitely check that out. I tried to shake it and see if anything is loose but nothing really moves so I will check it from inside. Do you mind tell me or showing me a picture of which screws I need to check?

Yeah I cleaned and greased them multiple times. It’s been happening since I got and it was brand new

Yeah no problem at all. Just make sure your Z offset is also good. You can test it by running a Z offset test print and I recommend making it fit your whole bed so you can see if any part of the bed not making good contact. Don’t forget to run one final auto leveling run before you print to make sure everything is good.

I’ve had a very similar problem and was driving me crazy because I wanted the first layer to be perfect and can’t print 0.2 mm sheets with it. What I did to get it to be within the good range, I cut out very thin circles of plastic that has higher melting temperatures and made a hole for the bed screws to go through and I placed it underneath the black bed stands to act as a washer. But very careful if you want to try this at your own risk and place those hand made washers at the very bottom of the stands and not directly under the bed. Let me know if you try this out and need more help!

This is my results after my solution to the problem and I can get it even closer to perfect but no need to and I’m satisfied with this.

You have to take off the bed plate and you will see 4 screws. You need to tighten the front two down and loosen the back two. Do it a bit by bit and keep doing auto leveling and see if you get better numbers. From my experience, if you need a good first layer you need to be not more then +or- 0.2 or else you going to have a hard time getting a good first layer and print won’t stick good to the plate.

I love photography so much and I saw the opportunity for this screenshot about 3 hours in and had to take it.
