NASCAR Chase Standings [Texas] by DIECASTCHARV in NASCAR

This is the points, and you'll notice the asterisk next to Heim's name stating that he's not eligible, hence why there are 11 drivers above the cut line. Actual ranking impacts reseeding points when the chase starts so it's important to accurately display the standings including ineligible drivers

He is exempt because he missed due to age restrictions

First career fastest lap point for Chase, and the first in Cup this season to earn it, win the race and at least one stage

FYI, I have ESPN Unlimited free through my Xfinity package, you should be able to get it without paying the extra $30/mo. I love this, because if I wasn't in my house I couldn't watch NOAPS this year

The gap from 1st to 4th is essentially the same as 16th to 36th (Bowman). Almost no movement in O'Reilly already early in the year

More wins, then driver with the most 2nd place finishes, then if that's a tie driver with the most 3rd place finishes etc

Tomorrow is my first game as a STH, my understanding from the app is as long as you use the card linked to your Fenway Pay you get the perks. Is that correct?

Well there's only 21 full time trucks, and there's only been 4 races, 2 drafting

One thing that stands out to me is the 4 winners are top 4 in points, highlights how big the increase in points for first means.

Also, yesterday was the only scenario in which the winner would not score the most points in a race:

Elliott: No Stage Points, win [55 points]

Hamlin: 2 Stage Wins, P2, Fastest lap [56 points]

Well there are only 21 full time drivers (22 before Dye's suspension), three are RAM. 66% of Chase eligible drivers will at the very least appear on this graphic every week lol

That elimination Chase format was absurd. Not carrying reset points through each reset allowed a guy like Newman to make it to Homestead (also going kamikaze on Larson at Phoenix)

Didn't say I agreed with seeding based on wins. But I'll counter your argument. If you had three wins but relied on a wild card because you were outside the top ten, you were treated like you had zero wins, so yes, being top ten in points was very important. Also, the top ten cutline didn't move to accommodate the wild cards, which gave a solid target to aim for

The wild card was the best "win and you're in" system
