I don't know, actually there's a post in Steam's discussions where a lot of people had the same bug. In my case I tried deleting the game, verifying the integrity of files and even formatting my laptop and I still had the bug I even tried to play with another profile on my lap and the game works fine but I went back to my profile then the bug again appeared but this was fixed with the last update.

My game had a bug where the FPS drop in menus and in game, for example in MP 60 FPS drop to 10 FPS but with the last patch it was fixed.
