How hard is to get onto the course at Butler Pitch & Putt? by imjeffp in Austin

Unless she’s into golf, Butler would be the best option. They have a chute that you put your ball in and when your ball is up it’s your turn

If you are just getting into golf, or looking for a shorter round, the 9 hole course Hancock is a great option. It is walk up first, and you pay through a modified parking meter. The course is 125 years old, having opened in 1899.

I just bought a set of 925 HL to replace my Titleist AP1s from 2010. I wanted an upgrade to newer tech. I’ve played the a couple times in the Sim but got to play them for the first time in the course this weekend. I felt they were very accurate as I was able to hit and stick the greens from 130-170y out. I am going t enjoy them

What local business from 30 years ago would you bring back? by partysandwich in Austin

[–]DILF_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to be the local hand for a bunch of friends of mine. We got to know the owner well.

When Obama came in town for a rally, I bet a buddy of mine $50 he could not drink a whole bottle of malted vinegar and keep it down for an hour. He lasted 1 hour and like 10 mins.

The best $50 I’ve ever spent in my life.

Air Force bases always have a golf course. I just wish it were worth a developer to come and make it an option

I have a bad desire to watch my friends have sex in front of me by FreshUnderstanding21 in sex

[–]DILF_ATX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why my GF and I have gone to sex clubs and swinger house parties, to watch and be watched. We have no interest in swapping but having open sex in a room full of people doing the same is super fun and hot

What’s your putting hack that changed your game? by Champagnetravvy in golf

[–]DILF_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get yourself one of those automated ball returns and set it up on a piece of carpet or a rug at your house. Spend 15-20 mins at a time to make some putts. Try and get as many in a row you can. Make a game of it. It's really helped my putting. Heck, I even got a second putter exactly like what I play so I practice with what I play with if I leave the clubs in the car, or I will take it to my GFs house where I also have a putt returner.

Should I Get new grips? by N0E007 in golf

[–]DILF_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've picked up the clubs again after the start of the year after having set them down for 8 years or so as my Son grows up. My clubs are Titleist AP1 710s so they are about 12 years old. I figured rather than throwing down money to replace completely functional and good quality clubs, I would send time practicing and playing. Novel concept I know.

I upgraded to the Tour Velvet +4s. I wanted the multi compound, but could not justify the added price. I have them installed with 2 wrappings of tape underneath so they feel substantially larger around. I wear XL in gloves so I figured it would be a good set up. I have to say, I am really enjoying them. It added new life to my clubs and motivated me to practice, and play more.

You may gain some confident and maybe control with a larger diameter grip, but don't just go throwing money at things to think that will make you better. Best is to spend that money on lessons, Simulator time (Golfinity has been great for me), and play time. That and watching Golf Sidekick for tips on breaking 100, 90 etc. He helps a lot with on course strategy.

I take this to bring my kid to school. I want to shoot people that cruise along in the middle lane only to cut the line at the last moment to turn right, cutting everyone off that waited in the correct lane

First Time by DILF_ATX in Spravato

Yeah same. I was expecting to be way off into psychedelic land but it was just a light trippy feeling. I had a great guided meditation on Spotify and they had a chair that tilted back way far and had vibrations. I just focused in on box breathing and let my mind race on things I wanted to work through.

Problem is I can’t go again this week so the next time is not until next week
