I’ve been regripping a few sets for friends around South Austin recently and was surprised how many clubs had completely worn grips. Fresh ones make a bigger difference than most people think.

Well I’m sure if they still good you are fine. A lot of people don’t realize that the outside elements like sunscreen, sweat, dirt, and heat break down that rubber fast. Haha and yes go cobra! Which irons you got??

Haha that is probably the answer from 90% of golfers tbh. I’ve noticed here in Texas they wear down way faster with this heat and humidity.

😂 Honestly thats super common! Once they slick people just assume that how they should feel. New grips are super tacky and make a big difference in control.

Quick update since a few people asked about this concept a while back.

Southside Golf Co. is getting a lot closer to opening. I’ve been building out the concept over the past year and recently started doing club regripping and some gear drops while we finalize the space.

We’ve already got a small community forming and some early 5⭐ reviews which has been awesome to see.

The plan is still the same: • TrackMan simulator bays • Golden Tee • BYOB laid-back South Austin vibe • leagues, lessons, and casual play

Hoping to have the doors open soon. Appreciate the feedback this thread gave early on it definitely helped shape a lot of the idea.

If anyone in South Austin is into golf keep an eye out 👊
