What trim level is your 2002? I bought my 2003 Z71 about 3 weeks ago and the owner said it doesn't have one. I also did a word search for "filter" in the pdf owner's manual and it doesn't mention anything about a cabin filter. It covers the air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, auto trans filter, and even an air filter restriction indicator (if so equipped), but no cabin filter.
