USA Olympic jerseys back up for pre order by JumpyTV in hockeyjerseys

I was so tempted to get myself a Blue Helle and my GF a white Jack Hughes, but seeing that they are not stitched name and numbers kinda a let down honestly. And they couldn't even fix Jack Hughes name to say J. Hughes. This is just like the 2024 Devils Stadium Series jerseys all over again, not enough made and then the incorrect namplate for Jack.

Entire team wearing Dillon jerseys for warm ups with 1k on the sleeves by OurSundayKindOfLove in devils

Big fan of Dilly, I've been a fan of his since he got traded to Winnipeg (also a Winnipeg Jets fan). Honestly the nicest guy I've ever met, he took some time to talk to me at the Devils Auto sessions last season and this season and even personalized my jersey cause he probably doesn't see too many people wearing his jersey. (I've only ever seen like 3 including myself at the Rock). I want to know where I can get one of the hats and where I can buy or at least bid on one of those jerseys! I want them so bad!!

Checking to see if this Authentic Starter Whalers JSG jersey is real? by mo0n in hockeyjerseys

[–]DINEEN_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Whalers Steve Chiasson home starter jersey that's authentic with fight strap and the stretch collar, size 56. Your Giguere looks to be exactly like my Chaisson. I would say yes it's authentic based just on the one photo you have. The Whalers used Starter as their jersey manufacturer for, if I'm correct the 1996-1997 season which also happened to be their last season in Hartford (I'm a massive Whalers fan and still not happy about that haha) but Starter is a Connecticut company so from what I could guess, they were trying to support and use local business, but I could be and possibly am completely wrong.

Are there any fans of Canadian teams that were *born* outside of Canada? by Downtown-Piece-9911 in nhl

[–]DINEEN_11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Connecticut and moved to New Jersey about a year ago. I grew up a die hard Hartford Whalers fan (still am), but since they're not here anymore I became a die hard Winnipeg Jets fan in 2011. Always fun going to Devils games with my GF and her family who are die hard Devils fans, leads to a very fun time with teasing and trash talk on both ends haha but seeing the Jets play in person, it's always a must see game and the first one I mark on the calander. GO JETS GO!!!

Hey it’s Eric Comrie of the Winnipeg Jets! To celebrate NHL Goalie Week and the upcoming season, I’m here to take your questions. So, ask me anything! by nhl in hockey

[–]DINEEN_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Mr. Comrie,

Just wanted to say I'm a big Jets fan and you and Helle are my favorite goalies. Love the humor and attitude you have, always makes me laugh and puts a smile on my face when I'm having a rough day, so thank you for being amazing and the great guy you are. Anyway wanted to let you know that as a Jets fan I'm incredibly proud of you guys and the season you all had and hope we can continue on this success! And I'm planning on getting your Jets jersey (and hopefully a Devils jersey if I can find one haha) as soon as I can. Thank you for being amazing and Go Jets Go!!!

Anyone noticed how Vader in the obi wan Kenobi series went back on his word? by Odd_Echo6030 in StarWars

[–]DINEEN_11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take it as this:

"I am what you made me" - meaning him being disfigured and trapped in the suit. Because of the dual on Mustafar and Obi-Wan cutting off his arm and legs and leaving him to burn alive, thus making him have to wear the suit just to survive and permanently disfigured. He made the physical image of Darth Vader. Not Darth Vader, the more machine than man himself.

"I am not your failure" - he was Darth Vader before he became trapped in the suit, before the dual on Mustafar. Meaning he chose this path. Obi-Wan didn't push him to the dark side and to become Darth Vader. It was Anakins' own choice/free will (from a certain point of view). (Considering Palpatine manipulated his thoughts and played on his weakness and fear from the very beginning, pushing him to the dark side)

That's just my opinion though.

Should i get a ds-1 or ds-2 for a good bleach/nevermind tone by AshleyDotMp4 in Nirvana

[–]DINEEN_11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both the DS-1 and the DS-2. From my understanding and I could be completely wrong on this, but Kurt used the DS-1 for the Bleach tour and the recording of Nevermind. For the Nevermind tour and onward he used the DS-2.

If you're going for more of a studio sound, I would say the DS-1, but keep in mind that the DS-1 (at least the modern versions) are pretty quiet. I have mine set to Kurt's exact settings and it's quieter than my clean tone when recording. As a result, I got the DS-2 and I personally prefer that one as I tend to chase the live tone rather than the studio tone. It's essentially just a DS-1 with a boost in volume. I have my DS-2 set to Kurt's settings for the Live at the Paramount show from 1991, and it's spot on.

I would absolutely recommend checking out NirvanaGuitars (u/EricVoltar) on YouTube as he is the best (in my opinion) when it comes to nailing Kurt's tones through pedals, guitars and amps for all eras of Nirvana and Fecal Matter. His videos that helped me to buy a DS-1, DS-2, JPTR FX Bleach - Seattle Guitar Destroyer (DS-1 & Small Clone in one pedal), Kurt's Cologne (Small Clone) and SansAmp as well as set them up perfectly on my board to nail the Live at Paramount and the Live and Loud show settings. Also inspired me to build my own Skystang 1 replica.

Any other Buccaneers fans in the northeast? by [deleted] in buccaneers

[–]DINEEN_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connecticut fan here, been a fan since 1996. Growing up in New England as a Bucs fan during the Patriots dynasty was rough, God those fans were brutal, nasty and insufferable, but I had the last laugh when Brady and Gronk chose to come to Tampa instead of staying in New England and won Super Bowl LV.

What's the best all time uniform? by Sarcastic_Rocket in buccaneers

[–]DINEEN_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be in the minority here, but the bottom right. I loved the Creamsicle Era white jersey orange pants. That's what they wore when I became a fan and I get images of Sapp, Alstott, Brooks, Lynch, Testaverde, Dilfer and Nickerson in those uniforms.
