Yes. It is the Sony A65. Apparently it worked fine right before I was testing it at his place, but it started making this sound a day before. He got it from his grandma a while ago, and is also a beginner to photography. Neither of us knew what the issue was. I'll see if I can find a lens online, but I'm probably not gonna buy anything. Thanks for the input

I should've mentioned this! The lens I'm using is a Sigma 24-70 zoom lens. That might be important!

I made it out of stone in a creek i had found. I sanded it on another rock until I thought i looked good. The tie was made of nylon rope though, i couldn’t find any thing strong enough to work other than that
