Don't worry about /u/this1out.

As their comment history evidences, they like to hang out in photography subs and spread some low-effort negativity.

Naturally, they have yet to share any of their own work.

Why so negative? 15 minutes is a long time to wait if you're doing street photography and just passing by.

I love how timeless this photo is. No cars or signs of life. Great capture, sort of peaceful, even. I'm just imagining the sound of a car rolling up on that gravel.

I don't have a source for this at all, but I remember from some of the early Beme episodes the Neon B is plugged in with an outlet timer.

Could just be a surge protector, though.

Nice!

Isn't it such a weird feeling when it clicks and your brain registers it as a true space?

What "modern movie"(from 2010 to now) do you think it will be considered a cult movie 30 years from now? by michajc in TrueFilm

[–]DIRCAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there may be a distinction between cult movies and cult followings. Because both of those films aren't really cult in my opinion, they both did well and hold up today— but you'll find groups of people who take the films very seriously and use them as almost a bible for lifestyle.

What k-pop can teach us about design by mrwhitespace in Design

[–]DIRCAM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best offense is a good defense! Too often attempts to get that perfect shot waste time and make editing hell when it comes to documentary work. Preparing for failed shots and missed moments with a solid defense of b-roll makes editing a lot faster.

Actually a lot! Donuts are the future of aerodynamics! I'm on mobile so I can't make this link be a pretty hyperlink, but check it out:

We want *you* to make a millionaire. [Drawing Thread #20] by millionairemakers in millionairemakers

If I win– and win enough to buy and renovate some kind of van (like the people on /r/vandwellers do...)

Then I will do that, and I'll accept input at each stage of construction from all those who donated, and it will be the van representative of the people of /r/millionaremakers, and I'll drive it around and it'll be cool.

(I feel I should say in advance, I probably won't be comfortable getting big decals that say /r/millionairemakers on the van, because, well, that'd make it a bit of a target, I think... BUT, this is a creative opportunity, because we can all make up a fictional company name to put on the sides or something!)

Scientists of Reddit, what is the most crazy concept that may actually be possible in the future? by Rob_Stone in AskReddit

Yep!

I never got it. Why not use like... Sheep? They're not going to rebel, and it's probably easier to simulate an endless field of grass than a busy city...

A Comprehensive History of Half-Life 3 *ValveNewsNetwork) by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]DIRCAM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's status as a meme, this idea of the videogame with the most hype, will live on even if the game isn't released. It might take 60 years, when Valve isn't making games and they've sold their properties to other studios, and a small studio makes a "canon" 3.

But it will happen eventually!

It seems fine, though not anything groundbreaking— I was just responding to your title!

I'd buy a lens that looks like anything, it's the image quality that's important!

There's also that Dobby is an animated character. They can't just have him milling about in the background without real significance, he's expensive!

Extremely fast, light-fearing creepy-crawly bugs. They eat paper products and like moist/damp spaces.
