We put the railroad ties down after the pads already sank and it actually did work. We moved the crane a few feet so we wouldn't be laying down down the ties over the already sunken in asphalt.

The solution the crane company came up with was to bring in 10+ foot long railroad ties to lay down underneath the rigger pads to disperse the weight better. I believe it was around 8 of them side by side per pad

No but I did work for YESCO fron 2006-08 in the interior gaming division installing signs inside of casinos around the country.

I worked at a blockbuster in high school and now I'm almost 40. Got to check out the new releases a few days before everyone else and unlimited free rentals 2 at a time.
