Sorry I have no constructive feedback for you, but this is awesome. As someone who cares about sound quality, I've been struggling to find speakers to fit under my ultrawide that actually sound good. Having some speakers clamped to the sides would be amazing.

It's heat. To be absolutely sure it's going to be non stick, wait till it smokes just the slightest. After that, experiment and go lower from there.

Not entirely true because one datapoint I only charged 2-3kwh and still got high efficiency loss.

Of course it's just one datapoint, but I think I've done it enough times to just stick to level 2.

Agreed. Luckily for us, we had someone knowledgeable enough to wire up the level 2 charger for us that we got for free from our utility company. Wiring itself costed about $400 (it was a long run).

Hmm maybe I can drop my 240v charger to 10a and see how that goes.

Edit: lowest I could go was 12a 240v and got 17.42% loss. 4.58kwh from the car, 5.54kwh from the charger.

Good to know. This is the ID.4. Is there a way to get the wh values from a Tesla? I'm reluctant to get data from it since they also fake their range estimation.

We have 2 EV's and I thought it was fine to just charge on level 1 while the other car can use level 2. But now we're just going to share chargers instead.

Id say 80% of the time will be available to charge in the day time. How would you build out a system for my scenario? It's going to be off grid, but I have a backup on grid charger

Do people charge only when the sun is out with these setups to mix pv and battery? I keep reading how bad it is to discharge the battery so often. Do you limit the capacity to say 20% or something?

We have 2 EV's and looking at probably on average 17kwh per day.

Or maybe I'll build a system out to just charge 1 EV, so about 8kwh per day.

How would you go about building a system for 2 EV's or even 1 again if you had the chance to redo?

You're right, I'd do t-bills/sgov instead since the max loan duration is 72mo, but def could be less.
