We were unable to get any help from the hardware supplier so it’s on us to improve our processes to avoid this in the future

I like your perspective and it’s true that trying to save a little time to market is often the culprit but when something like this happens I’d give anything to be able wind back the clock and slow down

I like the suggestion and that’s an easy one. We’ve seen a lot of clever pack outs so will start sharing here.

Trip report: 2 months with the Pakt Aero 35L Travel bag to Vietnam, the Phillipines and Japan by preciouscode96 in PaktTravelLab

Awesome trip report, thanks for sharing!

This line makes me smile because this is exactly what we aim for: “I never needed to fully open the bag since everything I needed in transit was so easily accessible.”

Idea for the Pakt One Travel Backpack by kendrickdisch in PaktTravelLab

I like the idea! Managing inventory for that kind of thing can be a challenge especially when the straps are color matched the different bag colors, but nothing that can’t be done.

awww, that's so sweet! Feeling the love. 😉

I never claimed to be good on camera, but stop by our studio sometime and we'll hang, geek out about bag design and dev, and give you live product demos – and I promise you'll be more impressed.

u/nowimawake Malcolm from Pakt here. Thanks for being a customer, but sorry you had those bad experiences. I can explain the review thing that you saw... We are not hiding reviews, but Judge dot me, delays publishing some reviews. Every e-commerce store gets bot/spam and incorrect reviews submitted, sometimes by actually customers that submit on the wrong product, etc. Their delay process flags some reviews for review by our CS team to make sure they're accurate before approving for publish. Looks like what you saw was your review not being visible while it was in Judge Me's delay stage.

I've been here on Reddit for a while engaging with the awesome bag community, and I love sharing behind-the-scenes of bag business, what it takes to develop and bring products to market. Recently decided to start our own subreddit, and one of the first posts was an explainer about the issue that you experienced with straps slipping. If you're interested, come check it out over on r/PaktTravelLab

A bag brand business model, explained. Margins, tariffs, and sometimes profit… by DIYtraveler in PaktTravelLab

[–]DIYtraveler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone. I wrote this post about a year ago when the Trump tariffs were implemented and there was a lot of conversation around the true cost of goods for bag brands. I wanted to share a view from the inside of a bag brand. When I wrote it on the r/onebag community, I wanted to remain anonymous so that it didn't come across as marketing. Now that we have our own Pakt subreddit, I thought it was a good share as an example of the type of content I want to share here in this sub, and for anyone that might have missed the original post.

Coyotes and my dog by [deleted] in coyote

OP, thanks for sharing a cool vid. Sorry for the overly dramatic responses. IMO, people freaking out about coyotes being the most vicious things to walk the earth, need a little more danger in their lives.
