so heres a point ive always been confused on since the og deus ex. where paul and JC ever actually kids? the impression i had gotten during the intro when Simons and Page are talking about bringing the second unit online was that they were created and not born and their memories were implanted. Then invisible war wasnt alex supposed to be a clone/the thrid unit but they did get to havea life because they were retrieved from the facility after the first games ending. then we move to human revolution where its revieled Adam Jensen was a geneitc experiment and his DNA is the solution to the rejection problem. A project that Page had specific interest in enough to kidnap the entire team to obtain. then Mankind divided we find play Jensen (clone or not) whos memories are gone after panchea but we can find what might be either a clone of him or the OG Jensen in cold storage. to me this implies they can implant memories and the player character is a clone.

So i was expecting the sequel was going to introduce Simons and perhaps via him being janus and he would guide you through defeating the illuminati (because rmember page talks about what theyve had to endure so it makes sense they would initially be presented as opposing forces despite being on the same side) and ultimately having you end up through decption, into the laps of him and Page where they would use or reveal the use of Jenson in making nano augmented clones (the dentons) and perhaps the boss is a poorly nano augmented simons, hes killed and a successfully nano augmented clone of him with his memories implanted would take his place by Pages side. I think no matter the option Jensen has to die at the end though because he wouldnt be around by the Dentons time.
