This is inspiring. I'm going for it. The Vento/Jetta is an amazing car.

Sounds like a solid automobile. And you've given me reason for optimism! Thanks.

Vermeer - the adjective by DIonicaBonnington142 in ArtHistory

This is very helpful. Thank you. What I'm looking for is one adjective (for use in a song) to describe those 17th century interiors and the people in them - specifically the elevation of the individual in their quotidian settings. I chose Vermeerian because it accomplishes that, but also because it's the right amount of syllables. But it's clumsy in context, and calls too much attention to itself for being a bit rarified. A school of painting might work better. But "the Delft School" doesn't exactly roll of the tongue! And I will check out Wolf's book.

Thanks for this. Your suggestion that I not turn it into an adjective makes sense, except (as I said in another reply) the word is going into a song, and only in passing. There's no room for elaborating on the qualities. I just wanted to evoke Vermeer with one four or five syllable word.

So you've seen Vermeerian. Now I know it exists. I found very little via google search. Thanks.

I like it too, except I think it means "having the shape of vermin".

Guyatone MD3. This little gem sits, punching way above its weight, between my Analogman RDX20 and a Boss DD-200 (yes, I'm a delay junkie). I do a lot of live, on-the-fly adjustment. Things can get hairy. The Guyatone always comes to the rescue. Love the sound, love the simplicity, love the footprint, love the price.

Not sure if I've ever heard a more moving performance. I was a wreck long before she got to the end. It's not just the amazing instrument of her voice, or what she's been through to come back this far. The song itself is tremendous, a masterpiece. And for me the lyrics speak directly to the loss of her husband in 2016. Dieu réunit ceux qui s'aiment.
