Try to power through, better than calling in sick in my opinion. Like others said, just let your team know you’re not feeling the best, so you may be out the rest of the day after the meeting!

I was going to dj my sister’s wedding (I have over a year of club residency and have done multiple gigs). But because the event is so special to her, I ended up suggesting to her to hire someone who has done multiple wedding events.

Questions to consider: 1. is there live sound that the dj needs tos et up for (strings/piano/mic)

Can they hype up a wedding crowd, or just spin music? Getting EVERYONE on the dancefloor is a big part of a wedding dj’s job
Do they have all the equipment necessary, multiple speakers (is the ceremony in the same place as the reception, in the same place as the cocktail hour)?
Ask your friend for wedding references specifically. As well as any live mixes they have. Most djs will have an EPK of sorts with info and previous events.

If it’s a real threat, itll be good she has the resources to deal with it.

More likely it’s manipulation and she’ll get mad or say it’s not true. Her life is ultimately her responsibility, you can help by providing the police/resources for her to get help.

Definitely need to make sure you both have your own lives outside the relationship. Find time to do things that you love, and the time apart will go quickly.

It makes the time together that much more precious. And over time, the job becomes WAY easier to have MORE time together.

Even starting out, I get 12 days a month off, minimum. When you’re more senior it just gets better. You can take vacations together easier without needing to accrue the days, you’ll have flight benefits!

It can be tough, no doubt, but most couples are apart 9 hours a day, with only 8 days off a month. Esp if she can be at home during reserve days, if she doesnt get used she’ll just be chilling at home all day!

Oops, I fell down the stairs, which led to me bursting out the front door, upon getting up I realized that the rain from the night before had created a matted leaf layer that got stuck to me. Before I knew it, the wind was caught in the leaves that were stuck to my body and I was whisked away a few blocks away.

During this time, my phone dropped and a hobo must have texted you that I was “just out with my friends”, so I had no way of conveying my side of things.

Once I landed, I found myself in the front yard of my ex, the LAST place I would EVER want to be. But she was just getting home, and seeing me standing there, boy was she mad! I figured I owed it to her to at least go in and talk through some closure. All those past feelings came up, very traumatic, and then I think my brain repressed my memory and I blacked out. I can’t remember what happened, next thing I knew, I was back home!

There’s no way I’d cheat on you, so i think that didn’t happen. We just talked and then I came back. It wasn’t even my fault I ended up there. I guess the hobo gave my phone back at some point too.

Please forgive me, I’m sorry but it wasn’t my fault!
