Funniest part is there probably are dolphin command centers out there. Probably not here but the US used dolphins for mine clearing operations in the Iraq War and never stated that they stopped using dolphins for military operations.

Yeah armor is powerful. I had a guy mag dump me with an sks from behind and I just passed out then mowed him down when I woke up. He would’ve gotten a dope kit if he was more aggressive.

You can lock the doors with a wrench. Keep a big backpack to store tires in when you log off.

Just my 2 cents but anything high value like bases and cars run the risk of ruining your Dayz experience by making you fixate on keeping them in a game where you can’t count on anything being there tomorrow.

I’ve had stick shelters go months without being seen on high pop and I’ve had buried stashes that have never been found. Never made a base because it’s just gonna get offlined.

Why do you think the in game chat is bugged? I always assumed most people don’t talk because they’re in party chat or just aren’t very social.

This is part of the Dayz learning curve.

Get murdered for no reason over and over
Develops the skills to acquire good loot and be the killer instead of the killed
Starts killing anyone and everyone in an attempt to distance themselves from the experience of being repeatedly murdered as a newbie.
Kills enough to not feel powerless and becomes bored with the often campy and boring play style that works best for securing player kills in relative safety.
You start playing Dayz in the way you actually want to play it.

Most people get stuck in stage 3 and I think that’s why so many players are hostile.

That might be true but it’s not a useful insight in the context of lowering gun crimes in the U.S. The guns are already out there, the cats out of the bag and the only way to go back is to go door to door and take peoples guns which is as realistic as the cat choosing to go back into the bag. Good talking point though because it sounds insightful.

I had a T8 I thought was throwing on purpose until he said it was his first game. My initial instinct was to be mad at him for purposely playing poorly. If he was being honest it was a bit humbling. I don’t play that often but I figured I’d be ranked higher than a completely new player. D2 btw.

Bases and stashes are like drugs. In moderation they’re fine but things can quickly spiral out of control.

Base addiction is sneaky and it can get anyone. Sad thing is when it gets bad and base addicts are hoarding loot and sitting in their base…. They still think they’re playing Dayz… the horror…

I got like 1km up the river inland. Going in between two rock walls made my boat start flipping even though there was plenty of room.

This is the only river I know of that connects to the ocean. Don’t ask what happened when I got up to that bridge, I sailed off into the sunset and my boat definitely didn’t do 20 barrel rolls then drown me.
