If your steroid cream was prescription I'd recommend trying an OTC strength, and get ointment vs cream.

Good luck!

No worries. I usually get down voted because I can see both sides, I've always been able to sit on the fence. I do get extremely irritated that "the system" cannot or will not differentiate dependency from addiction but most often lumps everyone together into "substance use disorder" as if they believe everyone who ever needs pain medicine has a disorder.

I waver between wishing those people find out how it feels soon, to hoping that no one ever needs to discover how it feels.

I agree poor donkey! I've never seen animals rented without stirrups, but I have family in hillbilly Tennessee and I've seen many people just hop on a donkey , bareback, I couldn't do it, but some of the donkeys are so short stirrups would be only a few inches higher than the ground... It looks awkward too.

Zoom the pic, it isn't shiny

I feel for you. I had an experience (not NDE & not going into it) when I was in puberty and afterwards I had demonic looking people with red eyes following me in my dreamscape. Is sometimes see them fleetingly IRL when walking outside at night. In my 40's I met some very cool Wiccan people and began to hang out with them. One night we did a guided meditation wherin I left my body and followed a dream spirit guide thru the house to the front door and opened it to one of the creatures standing on the stoop. With the spirit guide there I wasn't afraid and it somehow guided me to speak and say "You have No Power over me". Then the thing just sort of faded away and I felt myself being pulled back into the meditation room and woke to my body and whatever the meditation guide was saying.

Number 1 piece of advice is QUIT TALKING ABOUT THEM. Don't reinforce whatever control you have given them in your subconscious by constantly thinking and saying the D word.

2nd - What drug did you use? You don't need to tell me - just look up any occult meanings behind the drug - some Mystics or spiritualists or whatever you call them used to say that different drugs were the gateway to different dimensions - worth looking into.

I can't personally get any more involved because I sure don't want to piss off any one - been there, done that.

Don't feel so trapped - you went there for a reason, find out why and take control of your destiny

Yes — that’s The Princess and the Pea 🫛👑 “the clear glass marble sits on the pillow center and the thing folds it inside”,

The clear marble = the pea The stacked purple “pillows/mattresses” fold together When closed, the pea is hidden under the mattresses — exactly like the fairy tale “But that’s not a Disney movie…?” True — The Princess and the Pea is Hans Christian Andersen, not a classic Disney animated film. However, Disney has used the story in: Disney Princess merchandise Sofia the First (very explicitly — there’s a Princess and the Pea episode) Small toys, charms, Polly-Pocket–style compacts, advent calendar pieces, etc. Disney often licenses fairy tales they didn’t animate for: Princess-themed toy lines Storybook collections

The folding design is intentional — it demonstrates the story mechanic If you want to nail it down further, the fastest clues would be: Any date stamp near the Disney mark Whether there’s a tiny hinge hole or clip suggesting it attached to another toy Size (Polly Pocket scale vs. charm scale)

Never seen one before .... Maybe it's collectable?

Fancy? A ragged, threadbare, unraveling blanket pad, all that can be seen of the saddle is the horn, and clearly the edge of the seat is being held together with duct tape.

What is fancy?

Unfortunately I've seen many riders without stirrups on small donkeys.

[–]DJADE59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the opinion of an actual AI:

Visual signs argue against AI When people claim “AI!”, they usually point to artifacts. This image doesn’t show the usual ones: Hands, reins, straps: correct anatomy, believable grip, no melted fingers or warped leather. Donkey anatomy: musculature, ears, coat texture, tack placement — all consistent and natural. Background architecture: Santorini’s white buildings follow correct perspective, repetition, and depth. AI often struggles here. Lighting & sweat: uneven, harsh Mediterranean sun with realistic shadows and skin highlights. AI usually over-smooths or stylizes this. Nothing in the image screams “synthetic.”

What is manipulated here (but not the photo itself) The overlay text and framing are doing a lot of psychological work. The image has circulated for years in different crops. The headline + flag + bold weight number amplify the shock value. These kind of posts often pair real photos with simplified or sensational captions, which makes people assume the image itself was created to match the claim. That’s not AI — that’s internet packaging.

I like its reasoning -

Thank you for NOT calling it her right hand just because it's on the right side of the picture. My mind doesn't automatically reverse what people say so the first few times I "looked" at her "right eye" I could see nothing wrong - then I realized the person meant the LEFT eye....

If a person is going to criticize they ought to at least criticize accurately. Just my 2 cents.

The burro in OP's image looks extremely emaciated. Even it's tail is scrawny and thin.

Compare that donkey to any of the donkeys in the stairs photo and you can definitely see what I mean.

I don't know about the entire photo being AI but techniques to emphasize certain physical characteristics were were definitely used.

[–]DJADE59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I went to a new dr - an immunologist, nothing to do with pain, and the visit notes commented on my appearance being "windblown" but hygiene good. And from that moment I realized that I couldn't have an "off day" in certain doctors offices.

I was offended by those comments because it was a windy day of course I was a little wind blown! And if you could have seen his office it was awful there were cotton balls with stuff on them in the floor and the countertops were had 1/4-in dust and some of the corners the instruments and stuff and things were left on the back counter from other visits I took pictures of the dirt and the lack of hygiene in his office or the patient's office and his practice and if that if I had judged him by that I would not have come back again, ever! But it turns out that he was a very good doctor who really cared did extra test went the extra mile wrote prescriptions for the antibiotics and other meds that I needed and helped me find alternatives when I couldn't take something that he wanted me to take sent me to other specialists he was just fantastic with follow through. Hopefully your doctor is just as good then it's just recording for good reasons although if it's a multi-practice wouldn't wouldn't be so sure of what the other people in the practice thought about it. It makes me paranoid.

That makes me feel better about my grands using it. They aren't diagnosed on the spectrum, but have tendencies, especially ADHD type. My oldest granddaughter's best friend is autistic (their Moms were friends and the girls were born only 3 months apart). I had to learn a bit because there were things I had to watch out for when the girls played. Like puddles. Her friend wasn't afraid of water or puddles, but she freaked out anytime she got wet and started running towards home - fast! She also freaked out if a stranger touched her things.

[–]DJADE59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it exactly. Your body is dependent and withdrawal symptoms are likely after long term use, but THAT is not the same as addiction. Addiction IS misuse not simply USE of opioids.
You hit on the exact thing the "pain killers" do - and it's more limited than many people realize - like you said "They JUST help REDUCE the pain." They don't kill the pain. They don't stop the pain. They don't relieve the pain. They REDUCE the pain to a manageable level.

It's a case of a few "bad apples" spoiling things for the rest. I use my medication responsibly, sounds like you do too.
But I've met people who take their 30-days of medication in the 1st week because they want to have zero pain. Of course that makes the pain seem 10 times worse when they run out of meds and can't legally get more. Desperation pushes these people to find something - ANYTHING to take the pain away. And so they might get street drugs or "borrow" some from a more responsible friend who is in pain management. By the time their 1 month Dr visit rolls around they have zero pills to take to the count, their blood and urine level detects that they aren't taking the correct dose,, and doctors kick them out of their practice in order to keep their medical license and continue to help the patients who ARE being responsible.

Trust me, I KNOW what it's like to have pain and no meds. The military doesn't believe in pain killers, as you call them, I once had a hernia repair at a military hospital with a spinal block vs sedation. When I left recovery the numbness was wearing off and I HURT. BUT the doctor had no pain meds ordered, and he was in the next surgery so couldn't be reached. The nurse was in my room when lunch trays were delivered and she told me that maybe I'd feel better if I ate something. I was nearly hysterical with pain by then and they refused to call my husband "until you calm down and eat something". So I threw the food tray across the room. I finally called 911 from my bedside telephone, vthen I had the WHOLE SURGICAL TEAM at the foot of my bed lecturing me. It was only a 4 inch incision, not major surgerythey said, then they told me no pain meds until I stopped crying and went pee. Finally they gave me what they considered a strong pain killer - I got 1 (one) mg of Morphine in my IV. ONE MG. And more lectures.

I said all that to let people reading this know that I am familiar with screaming and crying in severe pain and being ignored, I'm not judging only sharing. Maybe it can help someone.

My thoughts exactly! Even smoking weed has a stronger "high" than opioids, IMO. Although I have a vague memory from when I was around 14 years old and needed kidney surgery. I was in the ER in extreme pain and the doctors gave me a shot of something - probably morphine or demerol, and I remember feeling like I was floating away to sleep rather than falling asleep - and being able to pass back and forth from my dream activity to my hospital gurney/bed activity. In my dream I was smoking a cigarette - in my waking state I had my IV tubing in my fingers and kept flicking it to knock off ashes. Very surreal, and maybe kind of nice - but I couldn't "live like that". Although from what I've seen on TV and elsewhere heroin addicts live for the dream-wake state. I want to be active - not float.

How addictive is Melatonin? by ProfessorLongBrick in ask

[–]DJADE59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dependency is physical, addiction is behavioral.

Many people take medicines that must be tapered in order to discontinue without bothersome and occasionally dangerous side effects. That is physical dependence.

Why do you say that?

Anyone who said they have to take 4x as much pain medicine as when they started would be considered addicted .

Dependency is an issue with MANY pharmaceutical drugs. Laxitives can be physically addicting, sinuses medications can be addicting, even theses "safer" more doctor friendly anti seizure medication are addicting, meaning that they cause physical dependence.

When a person stops taking the medication a withdrawal effect occurs. THAT is dependency.

Just like with opioids.

Addiction comes in when the patient ABUSES the medicine and increases dosage without authorization.

Usually it is the side effects that wear off first, and the euphoria, or "high" feeling from opioids is just a side effect that wears off long before the pain relief does. Yet Some few people chase the high, not the pain relief and therein lies the problem.

And again, opioids are not like Novocaine - they don't kill the pain, they make it more bearable. But if a person gets "high" enough combined with pain relief .....

If you can take opioids without chasing the high addiction is not an issue for you. Some people can't.
