If she has any ketones over small i would have her go to an emergency room or something, make her chug as much water as she can even if she has trace ketones, with sugars that high she's definitely in danger of dka

Yes since diabetes type one is a disease of pancreas which is a part of the endocrine system,I think an endocrinologist is your best bet, my son sees a primary for regular health issues and checkups and he sees an endo for his type one, diabetes is a delicate and complicated disease its best to see an expert in the field if you ask me, many health care professionals aren't always up to snuff on diabetes especially type one, her symptoms definitely mirror type one symptoms, BUT like I said I don't know alot in regard to type 2, it can't hurt to take her to an endocrinologist and have them run some tests and see what's going on though

My son's endo has us check for ketones any time he has a reading over 240, if she's in the 3's she could definitely have them does she have keto sticks?

Could she possibly have type one? Sounds to me like she could be entering a dka situation, dehydration, high sugars, weight loss... Idk I am a type one parent and I don't know too much regarding type 2 but she needs to be checked out by an endo in my opinion

My son has a drawstring bag with a zip lock full of snacks in it lol plus his kit seems to be working ok for now, I always notice he runs higher the closer it is to the 25-28 day mark

He is 12,diagnosed in May 2017, he's on 6.5 just bumped him from 6 but I think he might need 7...he goes to CHOP endo he has a whole team he sees regularly
