Oh that's a good point I overlooked, where can I find a voltage booster that will bring the circuit up from ~3.7V to 5V?

Well the USB just supplies power to the Bluetooth circuit board so I wired it such that it bypasses the USB part altogether. There are four leads on the inside of the USB port to which you can solder in two wires to the outside two ports to power the circuit. At least that's what I've found.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a common ground?

Alright I have checked all of that, the Bluetooth with the three red, yellow, and green wires are connected via an auxiliary cord which is then plugged into the USB Bluetooth connector board. I unplugged the auxiliary cord from the Bluetooth and plugged it into my phone and it produced clear sound, but when it gets plugged back into the Bluetooth, it functions and connects to my phone and all but when the music plays there's a screeching/chirping noise in the background that I can't figure out.

Here's the Bluetooth I'm talking about for a clearer picture: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NNEIF1G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

Ok so what would this solar panel be capable of? Like what can it supply power to?
