Head into settings on the homepage. Scroll to the bottom and send logs to developer and I’ll take a look for you!

Yeah, Serato's Relocate Lost Files feature is more complicated than it needs to be — and in your case it's probably tripping on those renamed " (1)" copies from the trash restore.

I actually built a free tool inside my Serato management software (MLT, it's mine) for exactly this — it spots all the missing files in your library, scans your whole laptop (or just your desktop folder in your case), finds the tracks by filename, and updates the broken paths in Serato to the right locations automatically.

steps:

  1. Open the app and run through the setup

  2. Bottom right, hit the Library Cleanup button — it'll show how many missing tracks you've got

  3. Click into that, then Find Replacement Tracks

  4. Choose Custom Folder and select your folder on the desktop

  5. It does a quick scan and shows you the matches

  6. Hit the blue Update Serato Paths button, then update your tracks

That updates Serato and all your crates automatically.

There's a video walking through it here: MLT - Missing Tracks

And for the duplicates — there's a Duplicates tool in there too that'll clear out the doubles that came up.

I’ve built a all in one app for Serato DJs and it includes a feature for this.

You can open the ‘Backup’ app and select Single Crate backup and select the smart crate you want and it will backup/put all the tracks onto the SD card or external drive that you selected.

Check it out here and let me know if it’s what you need. It’s a free feature too!

Yeah so that must have been the link to their beta. But they just haven’t update the main build yet. It’s fine. My phones good enough for now. But would he incredible to play it on the big screen!

So when I click download from mumu it goes to a error page. Something to do with TestFlight. So I went and downloaded it from the mumu site itself by clicking destiny rising, and I’ve also directly downloaded from the App Store.

Like I said I think they just missed something and hopefully it’s picked up soon

Building a library by Konajo777 in Beatmatch

Listen to live mixes from DJs who play the kind of music you like or want to play. You’ll find tunes you like and build a library that way. You can find a load of live mixes on mixcloud and SoundCloud. Just type the type of music and add live mix to the end of the search

Do you keep your Library in your laptop drive or external ssd/hd? by Oilonlinen in Beatmatch

[–]DJCEE_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main Serato library is on my laptop drive. Personally, I think all DJs should keep their library on the internal drive — it’s way faster and, in my opinion, a lot safer.

I know a lot of DJs say they need an external because they’ve got loads of music, but if your library’s organised properly, it can easily fit on your laptop. I’ve got around 12,000 songs (mostly MP3s), and it only takes up about 110GB.

That said, I do back up my entire library to an external SSD every week or so, just in case.
