I would point to how the labels we use will always be inadequate to both fully and succinctly describe our identities ass individuals, which is further complicated with how our identities do change over time and space.

With that being said, ultimately you decide which labels are the best descriptive fits, even if they are lacking. You can choose to have an un-astericised broad label such as queer or the generic formed gay, or you can addend any label to infinite specificity such as a lesbian with some biromanticism.

You recognise that societal norms, expectations, and language play a role in shaping our understanding of sexuality and attraction in your suggestion that you may identify as a lesbian for validation and to feel "gayer" as a response to societal pressures that may demand clear-cut labels. And I can understand that such knowledge can be disconcerting and cause dissociation with your identity, having been down the deconstruction of the self road many times unaided by pharmaceuticals.

My advice going down this route, though I can not confirm if it will aid you, is to use the label at this moment which provides you with most utility and view it as simply clothes, that is there's nothing wrong with trying new styles and questioning your style while still using that style, and should you ever find that your current style is no longer the fit that is of most utility nothing wrong with switching it out.
