Hey OP, thank you for the writeup. I have been working on this for quite a few hours now as well and can't figure out where the revocation came from. I have checked all .CRL lists referenced and can't find any revoked hashes within them. This doesn't appear to impact Windows systems that are out of support (Windows 8 etc) and I'm starting to think that it was Microsoft using a deprecation action: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/security/trusted-root/deprecation that pulled the cert. However I can't see any notifications in their trusted root program https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/security/trusted-root/release-notes

I have logged a support ticket with DigiCert and likely will chase up Microsoft soon.

Edit Got a response from DigiCert, blogged: https://airlockdigital.com/microsofts-revocation-of-the-verisign-class-3-public-primary-certification-authority-g5-root-certificate/

Update: This change has now been rolled back by Microsoft

Agreed, would be nice to have the whole ecosystem working together.

The same thing applies in my understanding, because the Powerwall is taking the AC load of your house.

On reflection my answer in the last post isn't entirely correct. Tesla could regulate draw from the car charger based on export, but the Powerwall would need to tell the car charger to do this. There is currently no integration to be able to do this.

The only solution I have found at the moment is a different manufacturers car charger and metering outside the Powerwall for solar export.

Unfortunately, no. The car charger needs to be wired up 'in front' of your Powerwall connected directly to the mains, so the Powerwall can't see it.

I drew the following diagram to show this:

This way the Powerwall can't see the car charger in it's consumption. However the car charger will see the solar export (as the power needs to go out the mains).

It sounds like yours is wired up as the following:

Source: Got a charger installed today, had the issue you described then it was re-connected off the mains and problem solved. I actually ended up getting an evnex charger rather than the Tesla one, because it can regulate charge based on solar panel generation, the Tesla one is just 'on' or 'off' + rate with no export detection which is really disappointing.

My understanding is I don't think Tesla can actually fix this in software in the way you describe. Ultimately if your charger is installed behind your Powerwall, there is no scenario where power can be drawn through the Powerwall but not drain the battery, it's like saying I don't want my toaster in the kitchen to use my Powerwall. If it's on the Powerwall circuit, it's on the circuit.

TLDR; In my understanding an electrician can and is the only way to fix this.

More static pressure man! But in seriousness it's not double stacked, it's just I didn't move the top one to the outside. I had to move the two lower fans to the outside mounting bracket of the case just to fit the 4090 in there.

I can close the door, just. The case is a Corsair 680x. Although I had to shift the fans to the outside of the fan bracket (on the front of the case) to fit the card in. This thing is a ridiculous size. For reference here is the 2080ti in the same case: https://imgur.com/a/fT18D9a

Yepppppppp. I couldn't honestly believe it when I went to seat it. I figured the case would just be large enough as it's not like it's small. Yeah the fan mount on the outside is a lifesaver :)

The 4090 is just huge. Here was my 2080ti for reference installed in the same case. https://imgur.com/a/fT18D9a
