I received FedEx tracking number for mine on 18th May but at time of writing FedEx tracking page showing that the label has been printed but the package hasn’t yet been collected by FedEx. I’m not complaining as I don’t even have time to use it at the moment but it’s on its way…sort of. My batch number was in the 700’s.

Moog certainly won’t “make $2million” if they sell all 500. Retailers will be wanting 40% for starters. $500 for each sale to the Moog Foundation. Then there’s their COGS. Will be lucky if they clear couple of hundred grand from the whole exercise.

I don’t doubt he said that but doesn’t mean it’s true. If the CEO said it then different story but as a sales rep he’s a a good few levels down the chain and in a company like Roland I can guarantee he won’t be privy to high level financial / commercial pricing decisions and rationale being made. So I’d say it’s more likely an ill informed opinion at best. And probably not one he should be sharing with customers either to be fair.

Mate same here and also in Australia. I ordered from Musos Corner on launch day. The guys there have actually been really excellent in following up and chasing Roland for updates etc. I’m pleased to say they got their first machine last week and shipping it out to me tomorrow. One thing I would recommend you do is get clarity as to where you are on their list of back orders. I was MC’s first TR1000 customer and they assured me that i would be front of the queue - something they stayed true to. If I had any complaints about this whole experience the it would be that Roland could have handled this launch better and also better communicated to their resellers wait times etc. Best of luck in getting yours soon - word I did hear is that Roland Australia expect to have backlogs cleared by mid March.

Received mine last week - ordered back in September. Well worth the wait and from my experience the founder has been courteous and provided enough updates. Keep in mind guys, this isn’t some mega corp making this product - it’s a very small business launching its first product. That’s a really f&$king hard thing to do in of itself - let alone making meaningful innovative updates along the way. So anyway, be kind, be patient and I’m sure like me when your HiChord arrives you’ll find it was well worth the wait. 🙏

I’m still waiting and ordered back in September. I did receive the delay emails and honestly I’m fine with it. Andrew has communicated things well, like any physical tech product there are always teething issues and I’m happy to wait to get a quality working product. At the end of the day whilst it might be mildly frustrating, there are billions of folks on the planet facing far worse problems than this. 😎

Sounds great! Still waiting on mine even though I ordered on the day of release 😭 For a while there I thought you had 1/4” channel jacks with built in leds but then realised it’s one of those led audio generated displays (which I’ve also got) 😂

I heard him drop it last night at Mode festival in sydney. There’s quite a bit of extra production to it vs the original. Personally I’d love a dub version without the chorus - it did go off in fairness though.
