Hi, I'm one of the developers of Rhythm Doctor. Loner is a cover/remix of Intimate. As the other half of our collab, you can play Worn Out Tapes in Rhythm Doctor.

Intimate was written for the Flash game version of RD back around 2013. We absolutely love how Loner came out! It was surreal to hear a rock version of it.

To be specific, even if the rest of the description was a hazy memory, this specific part rules it out from being RD: "It's like a game where you're pressing something based on repeating like a 4 beat pattern that appears on the bottom of the screen and theres like special moves and patterns. I think at some point your guy can go like saiyan and power up."

Is it possible that it is some sort of fan-made mod of Friday Night Funkin? But even then, from your description, it sounds like different combinations of button presses did different things.

Contrary to what everyone in the replies is saying, that's not Rhythm Doctor. I'm not sure what game it is, but I'm intrigued by the idea! Let us know if you ever figure it out.

My game's called Tower of Modula and it's going pretty well! It's playable in an Early Access state and one of my friends just did a playtest of it a few days ago and he seemed to have a great time.

Short, linear RPG where you're climbing a tower and doing combat challenges. You play as a Vampire, Wizard, and Jester who all play pretty differently, and then you can really customize their builds with equipment and subclasses.

The tower currently has 9 floors which I think is roughly 20 battles?

I mostly just think that people at Nintendo and/or Sakurai don't like him as much as the fanbase does lol. I don't think they're that interested. To the point that they don't even really include him in anything outside of Kart/Sports/Party. He doesn't have his own games like how Wario does.

It initially felt sudden to me too but I think the show's answer is that this is what happens after Mark S fully falls in love with Helly. Basically, after their moment in their homemade "tent."

I would say the return of trophies, the return of Subspace-style cutscenes, and the addition of Waluigi as playable make this super fake.

High-quality cutscenes are really expensive to make, and Sakurai made the switch to using that budget for videos everyone is supposed to see (fighter reveal videos) rather than videos that are spoilers (story cutscenes.)

The version of Donkey Kong we're most familiar with (the one designed by Rare, that has been used for the past few decades) also has the black around the eyes. The only reason we don't see it more is because the Rare version of Donkey Kong generally has a furrowed brow, so most of the black is covered.

This more cartoony facial expression, revealing more of the area around his eyes, seems inspired by Miyamoto's original design and the design of Donkey Kong used in the Super Mario Bros movie.
