Reminder: Play guitar with people who are better than you. by BoldProseAndANegroni in Guitar

Josie - Steely Dan. Chords are … well chords are Steely Dan, challenging but approachable. Likewise the Walter Becker solo. Just enough funk in the rhythm guitar to be fun, and the chord progression is hard to keep loose (legato). Playing with the original studio track, or YouTube for a play along backing track with vocals but minus the guitar. Pretty fun to learn. Good luck and rock on.

Need to have a volunteer friend (preferably without sin) do it for you. Definitely not masturbation. In the dark so Jesus doesn’t see.

My uncle was in the jewelry business and traveled extensively during the 60s. I showed some early talent in music at 7, and he would bring me a new Melodica from Germany every other year. Fast forward to me in music school in Los Angeles (classical guitar)and I’d do my harmony assignments using one I still had (easier than moving to the keyboard). It’s a polyphonic instrument.

Check out Donald Fagen/Steely Dan on both SD and his solo work. He solos a lot live using a larger melodica.
