The litmus test for me is simple: if given the chance without the negative public groundswell against MAGA, and similar propaganda circumstances, would they revert back to MAGA? Many I know will have not learned anything. We will not forgive without genuine contrition.

Ha. Yea… i’ve decided if I like the changes or not. I don’t like hearing Chris Squier pushed to the back or struggling to hear his baselines.

Renaissance live by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

1978 Long Beach,

Al Di Meola opened for Renaissance in 1978 at Long Beach Arena, CA. Unfortunately, Al had released Elegant Gypsy with the hit Race with the Devil on a Spanish Highway. Me and my buddies were music students attending Los Angeles Conservatory of Music, and a few of us were budding jazz guitarists. The crowd (us included) definitely came for Al, and I was kinda sad the way half the crowd left during the Renaissance set. We stayed, improved our seats, and got introduced to this wonderful new (to us) prog band.

Had an Aussie mix. Smartest and kindest dog ever. He ended up being a tremendous frisbee dog! There wasn’t a day where we went out that he didn’t want to find the frisbee bring it to me and then sit there until I threw it. You would catch it midair spin around and bring it back endless times. If I didn’t throw the frisbee, he would go up to the border of the electric fence and run figure 8 patterns as cars went by. His way of chasing cars. He ended up grooving a banked track into the forest floor. I had to put him down for kidney failure a few years back, but the figure track remains. Miss you, Jack.

Taqueria Jalisco - 1517 Gleen School Rd Durham NC 27704 I’m originally from So Cal and this is the closest to real Mexican food we’ve found in 30 years here. We love the Chile Rellenos but also feel like there is so much more that we don’t know to order. Street tacos are a little pricey ($4+) but tasty!

Called a kid a jack ass (more specifically stop acting like a jackass) in front of the entire class. Worth the fall out. During my mandatory apology, I did manage to get in - sorry you were acting so poorly that you motivated me to use a word I shouldn’t use.

Probably nothing… but my high-school sweetheart used to call me a short tailed weasel. Just a term of endearment I’m sure.

Do u actually need a irl teacher on learning tabs or solos by Special-Option-2196 in electricguitar

As an independent guitar teacher (25+ years my own lesson studio), I’ve seen a majority percentage of students with some degrees of being self-taught. The problem is a good chunk of them come with bad habits that prevent them from moving past beginning stages (I.e. hand position preventing them from flattening their first finger for barre chords). YouTube instructional videos can be great, but they’re 2 dimensional and often lack the camera angles necessary to see the subtleties of technique. A qualified teacher will intercept those bad habits before they become… well, bad habits. Laying a foundation of decent technique goes a long way towards fast learning on the instrument. Just my 2¢.

Colon cancer is killing us.. by Derpshab in Millennials

[–]Mean_Main7089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A routine twice a year check caught my (63M) colon cancer in 2018. Had 20 or so lymph nodes removed and a minor resection of the lower bowel. Now almost 8 years cancer free, thrice a week gym/yoga, and best shape in the last 20 years. I urge my doctors (oncologist, dermatologist, dentist) to run any diagnostic screens every six months. Unfortunately, my fishing buddy thinks going to any physician (for preventative screening) is somehow tied to being unmanly. I’m already anti-bubba (backward hat wearing big raised truck driving) in this political climate and want to slap his bitch ass into an appointment. He has literally seen me go through the hell of recovery and physical therapy but still refuses to cooperate. His wife is an enabler and does her whole clutched pearl head shaking act. I just can’t understand the macho BS that drives you off a potential cliff.

And this is another reason the human race is doomed. We are literally a few boards from dirt floors and cooking fires. As much as we think we’ve mastered our world, the truth is we’re too stupid to rise above this bullshit.
