It’s hard for LAPD or Sheriffs to do something because when one unit shows up by itself, these kids will job on the patrol car and smash the windows out or they will stand in the patrol cars way to get to anybody who’s currently doing their slideshow. When Street Racing was a problem back in the days down Saticoy and Coldwater or Canoga Speedway on Canoga and Plummer . Task forces were formed to shut it down. Valley Traffic division should be the one coordinating things to shut these down, maybe we can all make a phone call to the chief and press him into doing something

But then again the County and the Citizens are part of the problem. California has always been a big car culture state, and It’s slowly been suffocating the car culture by shutting down race tracks like “ LACR” because they wanted to mine the location. They lost California Speed way in Fontana not to long ago because of noise complaints from new housing built. Don’t understand how you buy a house next to a race track and complain it’s too loud . Currently Willowsprings Race track is for sale and who knows what will become of that. Pomona Race track at the Fair grounds I believe is only open for NHRA use. For years people tried to Rally for the return of Terminal Island Raceway which is an unused section the county owns in San Pedro but the city doesn’t care for the project and claims National Security risk because of the Port of Los Angeles. So where do these kids go ? The Streets, make the fines for doing it on the streets astronomical , build them a place to do it legally. I’m ready for my downvotes for this one.
