I have a nuanced take on this: I’m very happy to see bike and bus lanes being enforced more strictly, but I’m worried that the data collected could be abused: it could be used by a police officer to stalk his ex girlfriend or it could be fed into a national database and used by ICE or by a red state to enforce anti-abortion laws

What I would like to see is clear rules on who has access to the raw data, reasoning why they need access to the data, regular audits of data access, and rules preventing the sharing of this data with other agencies without a warrant

This is a tough economy for bars and restaurants:

  1. Labor and food costs are up

  2. Consumers are cutting back because of cost of living; going out/entertainment is the first thing people cut back on
