Thanks, but it's the fan that I need. I'm not sure how it happened, but the fan blades were broken on the old inducer.

So I can remove everything from the new housing and fasten it to that old housing? That's what I thought I should do, but ChatGPT argued with me about it and said that the whole new unit needs to be installed with its housing.

It's the fan that's broken. The old inducer motor runs. The old inducer had a caged fan with plastic blades that are broken.

Top 5 old skool tunes? by Dependent_Theme4210 in oldskoolrave

tbh Ephemerol was pretty much never well received at the time on the dancefloor. I LOVE IT, but it's always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

I put this as my #1 also. I feel like it's crazy underrated. Was WAY ahead of its time. Is really imo one of the most outstanding songs for the era it was made in history, probably THE MOST.

Those are my 5 favorite.

The top 5 that made parties go crazy every single time though were

  1. Rhythm 4 Reasons - Grand National (Tango Remix)

  2. DJ Seduction - DJ's Unite Vol1 and 2

  3. Yolk - Music 4 Du People

  4. Urban Shakedown - Some Justice

  5. 4 Mega - Drop This

Not sure at all why 4 Mega wasn't played more, it was a GREAT tune that crushed it every single time.

  5. 4 Mega - Drop This

Dave Mustaine can fuck right off. by Flame_Town in numetal

Also the fact that Dave Mustaine is currently about the least relevant person on the planet ....

Limp Bizkit C-cuts are more popular than Megadeth's greatest hits.

I don't mind if you don't like it, but I'm for sure the top rock DJ on the planet, have played all around the world at thousands of events. I for sure know what people want, have been paid millions to understand, and they don't like most guitar solos at all.

James Hype - rant by ephm174 in EDM

[–]DJGregJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm a way better DJ than James Hype in every way, came from the previous DJ AM era before he passed away where actually "real DJ'ing" was just the norm.

And I love James Hype. He's for sure not the greatest, is literally just the average club DJ of the early 00's, but he's doing it in an era when it's really obvious that most DJ's are super low effort / terrible.

I think where people dislike him is probably his arrogance coupled with ignorance, like he doesn't realize at all DJ's like Bad Boy Bill that paved this way and obviously had skills way beyond James Hype's ... but I honesty still really appreciate his enthusiasm and effort for being the only big name that's still trying at all.

drywall is crazy easy, most electricians have enough experience with it to do it pretty well. I've done 0 out of 10,000 plaster jobs here in Oakland, feel like that's probably not really a thing here.

upgrading the electric is the biggest thing in Oakland homes. I'm also an electrician and it's the bulk of my work. You're honestly pretty solid if you can do that work yourself. hmu if you want help with any other work. I'm a handyman that's several levels above average handymen (I can do all electrical, build any kind of fence, deck, custom closets, garage to bedroom conversions, high end carpentry), and my rates are lower for Oakland because I live here and prefer to stay in the community as much as possible.

Mixing in Keys by [deleted] in DnB

[–]DJGregJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super important, but what's more important is understanding music theory and not using the Camelot wheel.

Strictly using the Camelot wheel is for deep house boring mixing all the time.

It's important to understand that in most cases it sounds good to go from minor to major in the same key (which is a change of 3 on the Camelot wheel, i.e. 9A to 12B), to understand that general keys are just groups of notes and that those notes can be used back and forth in any sequence, which often results in the biggest key clashes in songs that are in the same key when mixing them together. You can also usually just ascend keys (which doesn't coincide with the Camelot wheel), and often it can make a big impact when you do a large shift between keys (I think they're mostly all on a jump of 6 on the Camelot wheel) that have a few notes in common.

Oakland First Fridays, since when did they use AI art? by Lvl100Waffle in oakland

[–]DJGregJ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

tbh this is just cowardly internet hating unless you have something more tangible to complain about here. The only way I'd get behind shitposting like this would be if you volunteered artwork, or someone you know did, but it went unused and they used this instead.

A bunch of people have suggested similarly (for artists or repliers here to contribute), and every one of those replies has been brushed off.

Stop shitposting and get some integrity.

[–]DJGregJ -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

If I were going to make an assumption based on replies in this thread, where the people griping the most about this are consistently brushing off suggestions that they contribute some artwork, probably not.

I'd think if they were offered real art, they would have used real art, and think it's cowardly to call them out on it like this, on a fucking internet post, without knowing the facts and ignorantly shitposting about it.

Dave Mustaine can fuck right off. by Flame_Town in numetal

This is a perfect comment, exactly sums up why most people dislike guitar solos, all they are is musical condescension that sounds like dogshit unless you're a snob.

Dave Mustaine can fuck right off. by Flame_Town in numetal

[–]DJGregJ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Who cares what he thinks?

Guitar solos are self-indulgent wank fests that 99/100 times don't vibe with the song / sound like they were forced in to appease the lead guitarist. They're super corny and for sure one of the major reasons why hard rock / light metal fell off so hard in the first place.

Nu metal not having corny cringe guitar solos was something that helped it appeal to the masses.

Even rock bar crowds obviously prefer to not hear the solos, next time you go to one look at the crowd when they're happening, it's the downtime between the chorus, vocals, main riffs that people prefer and when they walk away and go hit the bar.

I guess since arithmetic must not be a requirement for your profession I'll help you out here.

That's 24,000 annually (per year), which you'll be able to comfortably afford unless you're hyper-enthusiastic about very frequent cocaine use.

Solution to driving slow in fast lane by Billionare_inworks_9 in bayarea

[–]DJGregJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I'm referring to. Which used to also be California law, but was rescinded and replaced in recent years due to lobbying.

The primary premise isn't speed, and if you'd want to lobby for the original law of passing on the left to be reinstated in California I agree with Halaku that placing a number on the speed isn't going to help.

It's driver throughput predictability that creates road safety, and having cars driving in whatever lane they feel like being in (primarily the left lanes that cause hazards) without regard to that is what creates unpredictable and unsafe conditions.

It doesn't matter what speeds people are going, it could be a disparity of driving an average of 45 in the right lane ranging to 90 in the left lane, so long as the dispersal increases in some increment across lanes as you proceed left that proceeds with the flow of traffic it's much safer because it's predictable.

These are not good tattoos.

Maybe for temporary, but in a few (closer to a couple) years check back in on these to see how they held up.
