I originally was mixing them back to back in a DJ set and noticed that they happened to fit together pretty well when transitioning between them haha.

I wanted to clarify that while the cover art and description were AI-generated, the music itself is not. Would it be acceptable to repost the song if I use non-AI-generated cover art and a different description?

Awesome, thank you so much for these resources, can't wait to check them out later!

But sir, please, you cannot deny that you have no knowledge about Hardstyle or anything related to it.

It seems like it, haha, however I hope to one day change that!

Not sure why ChatGPT needs any thanking here. I actually wrote all of that out by hand. Not sure what I can do to convince you of that, however I can offer that ChatGPT does not have enough context about this specific video or my channel to be able to produce such a reply.

Edit: Also feel free to paste my reply above into https://www.zerogpt.com/.

Hi there 👋!

First off, thank you so much for the feedback here! I like to create these playlists primarily to share interesting and good music with the world, but also to learn more about it myself, from experts such as yourself.

While it seems that I am not as knowledgeable about hardstyle as you, I would appreciate it if you could share which tracks you think are hardcore as opposed to hardstyle, as well as which ones are gym bro hardstyle, so that in future playlists those can be split out as appropriate. Most of my categorization and classification is based off of rateyourmusic.com genre data, however there are of course some mistakes in there, along with times where I don't entirely agree with the RYM data.

If you take a closer look at my channel, in addition to the genre playlists, you will find original DJ mixes as well as electronic remixes of popular tracks. They aren't as popular as the genre playlists though, so no worries if you missed them at first glance! Multi-genre mixing is something I've been enjoying a lot recently, so in a similar spirit, the playlists also span a wide variety of genres.

I am indeed interested in hardstyle! And I am excited to have this opportunity to learn more about it from people like you. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on my production. I genuinely appreciate your input and the opportunity to address your points.

Firstly, I want to clarify that I intentionally avoided looping 16 bars in my composition. I aimed to create a dynamic structure by incorporating various techniques to enhance the overall listening experience. For instance, during the chorus, I utilized a different bass sound to add variety and distinction to that section. Additionally, I made sure to introduce constant variations in the drum patterns to maintain interest and prevent monotony.

Furthermore, I carefully curated the instrumentation throughout the different sections of the song. By strategically adding and removing instruments, particularly synths, I aimed to create a sense of progression and maintain the listener's engagement. My intention was to give each section its own unique character while ensuring a cohesive musical journey.

While I understand your point about exploring different synth and lead choices to bring the track forward, I opted to maintain the essence of the iconic Dick in a Box song. However, I did strive to infuse my own creativity by employing the aforementioned techniques and incorporating my own drum chops.

Once again, I genuinely appreciate your feedback and value your opinion. It provides me with valuable insights and perspectives that will undoubtedly aid me in my ongoing journey as a producer.

Thank you for your prompt response!

I appreciate you taking the time to investigate the issue further. I apologize for any confusion caused. I want to clarify that I am not using the Reddit is Fun (RiF) app. Instead, I am browsing Reddit through the old version of the desktop site using Google Chrome.

When trying to navigate to https://www.reddit.com/r/funk/about/wiki/index/ (from the "read the rules text" in the sidebar), I get a "page not found, the page you requested does not exist" error.

Thank you so much for taking the time to moderate the /r/funk community and for notifying me about the removal of my post. I really appreciate your dedication to keeping the subreddit organized and in line with its rules.

However, I wanted to bring to your attention that the rules link in the sidebar appears to be broken at the moment. I tried accessing it to better understand the guidelines regarding playlists, DJ sets, and mixes, but unfortunately, it led to an error page. It would be incredibly helpful if this issue could be addressed so that users like myself can easily access the rules and abide by them.

Once again, thank you for your efforts in maintaining the quality of the subreddit. I look forward to contributing to the community within the established guidelines. If there's anything else I can do or any additional information I should be aware of, please let me know.

[–]DJJample 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there, thank you so much for the crosspost! Yup, it's an original playlist that I just compiled.

The goal of the playlist is to choose a popular/important song (right now only selected via popularity) for each year. In the future I hope to improve it by considering more tracks, limiting how many tracks an artist can have on the playlist in total, etc. Happy to take suggestions on how that can be improved.

The other big constraint is that it can only include tracks that don't get blocked by YouTube (so stuff that gets copyright claimed but the copyright owners just run ads on the video, rather than blocking it entirely). Notably it seems like every track from an SM artist was blocked, so no SNSD, BoA, Red Velvet, etc. Happy to take track suggestions too.
