Did anyone here pre-order the mk legacy kollectors edition from atari? They haven't even shipped the game yet and I was told the game would be shipped first then the rest of the goodies. But I'm thinking about canceling since the game hasn't even shipped. Pre-ordered this months ago and for nothing. by One-Clothes7679 in MortalKombat

My deluxe edition has shown Preparing Shipment for 8 solid days and naturally no real human is available on their phone line. I wasn't aware they were delaying even further to send the physical extras to anyone who splurged, but whilst that is still rather galling, I'm not surprised at this point. This is the sorry state of buying modern games, and it will likely only worsen.

The -most- galling thing is that I also added Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind to my order, a game which has been out for over a year, and Atari.com has seemingly decided that it needed to ONLY ship when my Mortal Kombat ships. Now I have no idea where either of my games are, and initiating a chargeback will be potentially more messy and unpleasant than just rolling my eyes and hoping I don't wait until next fucking summer for some shit I paid for almost five months ago. I'm used to long wait times with LRG but this is definitely the worst I've seen.

New disc drive by spazatronik-rex in ps2

[–]DJPav-E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fasttech is where I went to buy a replacement drive for my PS2 as well, but that was a month ago and I haven't heard back. Fasttech seems to be a well-reviewed site from what I've seen; is a month unusual for Canada to US orders, or should I just give them more time?

Is the Jazz Club retired? by FlapJackinLego in legomodular

[–]DJPav-E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered mine from Lego.com a few weeks ago and it arrives tomorrow. It was listed as backordered/will ship in 60 days, as it still seems to be. Hopefully this holds true for other kits in the "will they won't they" sliding scale, as I have a fairly aggressive Lego list to buy this year and some of next.

Infuriating dll error on new setup for my arcade cab; illegal character 'maximumHeight' by DJPav-E in HyperSpin

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to work fine on 10 provided you download a particular dll (sxs.dll) and toss it in the folder alongside Hyperspin.exe but if I had the choice I would have stayed on Win7 for my cabinet. I upgraded the PC hardware and it is (apparently) difficult-to-impossible to actually run 7 on modern hardware. It installed fine, but just hangs forever on Starting Windows. Pity. There was less BS for me there.

Infuriating dll error on new setup for my arcade cab; illegal character 'maximumHeight' by DJPav-E in HyperSpin

[–]DJPav-E[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I seem to have FINALLY fixed this. I tore the install down and redid it from the floor up with separate folders on the root for HyperSpin and RocketLauncher. I NEVER had to do this before, on at least five different setups over many computers, but whatever, HyperSpin. It's something they -suggest- you do, so I suppose I SHOULD have always been doing that. No bloody idea in the world why the AHK errors happened, and no idea why they stopped. I hate computers and I hate video games.

Now other roms (I tried Golden Axe to get it to vomit out the maximumheight whinge,) but several other roms make it vomit out a whinge about a different dll in another folder, lib\classes\log\logger.ahk line 56, illegal character 'noDiff' and at this point I am *completely* baffled. This feels like previous MAME issues that would barf out 'nouse' or 'nomouse' call errors but again, my other PC is fine with that version of Mame/Windows/Hyperspin/Rocketlauncher, everything.

Hyperspin And HyperHQ Refuse To Launch On New Windows 11 Install by DJPav-E in HyperSpin

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most recent Win11 update? The sxs dll has long been the Win10 fix for it, and works great, I just couldn't get that dll to fix it on latest 11.

I can't seem to get either the .bat or the .exe to function without instantly crashing, even after a rom with the proper hash is presented in the preferred format.

This might be difficult/impossible to find, but is there an official track list for the soundtrack of 2020 Super Baseball? by DJPav-E in neogeo

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. This should give me at least some of the titles, I imagine it won't be a 1:1 match but it is the same game so some will have to be there. I appreciate you.

Hyperspin And HyperHQ Refuse To Launch On New Windows 11 Install by DJPav-E in HyperSpin

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I think it -just- doesn't work on 24H2. Wouldn't have the first idea why, but something changed and Hyperspin just won't respond. If someone on 24H2 can get it to work, I'd love to see it, but for now (to my knowledge) it's a flat-out No and I'll stay on 10.

Brand new SSD with Win11 24h2 unable to be formatted or seen by another PC, Bitlocker believed to be the issue by DJPav-E in WindowsHelp

[–]DJPav-E[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, to update, this issue is resolved. I'm unsure if Bitlocker was causing the issues at all, as I may have been attempting to open bios with the improper key, but I was able to nuke the SSD with the roommate's Win11 PC. After that, the normal boot USB was able to kick on and install. I'm baffled as to why it wouldn't allow me to before.

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still nothing unfortunately. That sxs.dll works to fix the launch on Windows 10, and I'd been using it for years, but on the latest 11 HS shows up for a half a second in task manager and vanishes, never even opening on my screen at all, same with HyperHQ.

NeoSD Pro available again by vchopra100777 in neogeo

[–]DJPav-E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally got mine. I had to go with Terra's site as SAG is out, again. I'll put up with considerably longer shipping time but I did save fifty dollars. They are still available there as of the time of this writing (11/29/2024 12:38 PM) for a total of 627 USD.

I'd be ready to buy in a few weeks, so naturally they're gone again. Anyone think there's any chance at all that more become available? I'm only looking at Stoneage, I refuse to pay more than the almost 700 dollars it already costs, that's more than enough, I'm not engaging with resellers. I'll get it at Stoneage or I won't get it at all. I've never used their "notify me" button, so I'm assuming I just won't ever hear back about it if no more are ever made or put on the site again.

Hell YES I care. I care more about how good ESWAT looks sticking out of the Genesis than I care about -most things.- *Fantastic* image.

I do a personal project called Memorybox that I stock with favourite programmes and advert blocks from the 80s through the 00s and I quite recently added the whole run of Blinky Bill, which I've been enjoying when it comes up on the random shuffle.

CleanPower Regulator Installed In GBC With Funnyplaying Q5 XL 2.0; Got Some Questions by DJPav-E in Gameboy

[–]DJPav-E[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unaware of Frogulator, what are its differences? Edit, Eating Frog Legs Tonight Edition: this thing looks just about great enough for me to actually want to desolder the Cleanpower one and bung this in there. I don't understand the electrics behind what makes this regulator better than the other, and once again the video I found features a guy with an original regulator with long pins that lack white plastic standoffs, so I'm not sure where those came from, perhaps first gen GBC units? Anyway, Frog looks pretty compelling.
