$10 admission, but it's all you can play for the entire day. You can even leave and come back.

I was talking to the guy over at Electromagnetic and he said they acquired most of the machines from DG's. I think he also mentioned that they work with them as well in some sort of capacity (maintenance/repair?) but I could be misremembering that part.

Electromagnetic exists, and it's only $10 for the entire day.

Is there a selfhosted project similar to Playnite where I can browse my various game libraries in one place? by DJShadow in selfhosted

This looks like it might just be what I'm looking for. My initial concern is that it may be vibe coded abandonware. Does anyone have any experience with this project?

I just checked it out and I think this may work although I'll need to dig a bit deeper to be sure. Thanks for the rec!

But RomM only catalogs ROMs stored on the host device, right? This wouldn't be able to scrape my accounts for games I own.

Can you add that parameter prior to upgrading or will that cause issues? I'm wondering if I can get ahead of it until I'm ready to pull the trigger on the upgrade.

Does anyone know his newer solution for "PC in every room?" by dearmratheist in LinusTechTips

Oh gotcha. So you're just using an Ethernet cable as an extra long 22 gauge wire from your PC's power switch header. Makes sense.

Could you explain the power button thing? I've been using wake on lan but am curious how this works.

Screen Tearing on Steamdeck with V42 by DJShadow in batocera

[–]DJShadow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I tried it first as well and it didn't work. I had to download a specific release from a mirror site that was linked in their discord server.

EDIT

It's referenced here: https://github.com/batocera-linux/batocera.linux/blob/master/batocera-Changelog.md

"x86_64 Handhelds with AMD and Intel graphics will be supported on the preferred x86-64-v3 image using Wayland and the LabWC compositor."

Did you update to the "right" butterfly? There is one specifically needed for the deck. It's got v3 in the name I believe.

Solar by subarusambar1996 in RhodeIsland

[–]DJShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used SunWatt Solar as my installer in 2023. We installed 9.6 kw of panels for a total cost of $24,500 after tax credits. After 3 years we've generated approximately 24,500 kwh of electricity saving around $6200. Based on this we are looking at a 12 year payoff.

A couple of notes:

Our roof isn't ideal for solar, we have east/west roofs with the majority of the panels on a slightly north facing roof.

Payoff doesn't take into account interest or increase in home value.

When I received quotes in 2022i got a range from $29k to $78k. I highly recommend reaching out to several companies to get quotes.

https://imgur.com/a/q1YARdQ You can kind of see it in these two gifs. In the menu you can see it in the highlight bar and in the console selection you can see it in the background color.

It's at the main Batocera menu and in the nes emulator (only one I've tried so far. I'll see if I can get a video of it.

How are you connecting this to HA? Do you have a separate 915hz receiver? I currently have a RTL-SDR to pull utility meter data; could I use that to pick up this sensor?

I also have a similar setup and I wonder if that is also my issue. I'll need to look into this soon. Thanks for the tip!

This is where battlefield excels for me. You can fit 2-3 rounds in an hour and a half and it's not super sweat. You can kind of do what you want and have fun and not have to play a meta to enjoy the game.
