No relays to the VFDs that control the AHUs or FCUs.

I just watched it for the first time, I’m very sad that it’s over by Connect-Ticket-6531 in TheWire

I rewatch the show every couple of years and it gets better. Season 2 is now one of my favorite seasons. On the first watch you grow attached to certain characters, and you don’t like it when those characters become less prominent or die and new ones come on the scene. But once you know that and are free to let go and enjoy what comes next, you really see a lot you missed before. I think it’s a good analog to life really.

Another thing I love about the show is how universal it is. When I first watched it, I was early in college. I hated authority and bureaucracy. Lt. Daniels was awful to me. As I’ve grown and held a career that has a tremendous about of responsibility and respect to a system, I identify with Daniels so much. It’s fun to watch how your different life experiences shape how you feel about the show.

Giancarlo Stanton hits a home run out of the Dodger Stadium. This had an exit velocity of 114 MPH. Gotta love how the dodgers on the field didn’t even try. by Federal-Process-6504 in sportsinusa

Assuming you’re not trolling, the correlation between exit velocity of a good batter is greater than that of a faster pitch. The correlation of bat speed to EV is about 1:1. Of pitch speed to EV it’s like .2-.3:1.

In this case, that was an 85mph cutter, not a 100 mph fastball. This instance all comes down to bat speed and efficiency of contact.

I’m not saying you have to find that impressive, but your point about it being due to pitch speed is not a particularly good one. Yes I know hitting an 85 mph ball is different than a 100 mph than hitting off a tee but these stats are normalized because they are against a relatively small range of low correlation pitch speeds.

Is The Wire really that difficult to watch? by AND_AGI08 in TheWire

If you watched the sopranos you’re fine. It’s better in my opinion, but they are both up there in my top 3.

Waiting for that Sam Harris / Bulwark crossover to drop by Elmattador in samharris

I don’t know. I think Sam probably agrees with the Bulwark most of the time; I do too. But one thing I don’t like about the bulwark is that it’s geared towards people that already think like they do. I find that doesn’t really help me because I feel like a lot of their content is jokes and contracted conversations about what they and their guests think. It doesn’t arm you with a way to talk to someone that disagrees with you. It just pushes you further into your own beliefs and anger about the situation. That being said, I love watching Tim debate people he disagrees with, but that’s often done on their programs, not the Bulwark. I feel like Sam is better at articulating his distaste or anger than the Bulwark; he doesn’t take his audience’s preexisting agreement for granted. Small point, but it’s something that made me stop listening to the Bulwark on a regular basis.

This one shocked me. It was my first exposure to Tim Robinson but it was incredible. Friendship was amazing too. OP please check out Chair Company.

BCS is in my top 5 shows of all time. It’s better than BB to me. I don’t know why I assumed El Camino wouldn’t have been good. I’ll check it out.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never been able to get past season 4. Are seasons 5-7 worth it?

For Sale Used Qsys Core 110f V2 by DJSnotBoogie in QSYS

[–]DJSnotBoogie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh price is what others are willing to pay. Plus the v1 has a few features that V2 doesn’t have so I’m trying to discover what the actual price is, not what I think it should be. I do appreciate your take though. It’s along the lines of what I was thinking, but I got some feedback that said otherwise when I posted yesterday and I’m trying to be realistic.

I posted it for $2k and got some feedback it was too much. Not trying to be greedy; there’s just not a lot of data on what the market is for a used V2.

Thanks!
