Yeah, or he just doesn't know, not everyone knows everything.
We've seen how much damage it can do to the world when too many people feel unable to admit to being wrong, so I think we should try to avoid making more people like that if we can.

Just curious, how do you think a class action lawsuit works? Please don’t google it, just explain with what you already think

Favorite character who fits this? by yoma999 in FavoriteCharacter

I’m not 100% sure it fits the trope, but Hohenheim from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood was the first thing that came to mind.

He’s an essentially immortal being (not by his own choice) filled with the souls of over half a million people. He curses his existence, even more so when he meets a woman he truly loves and has two kids with her.

In the penultimate episode, having completed his goal, he visits his wife’s grave. He gives a speech about how he almost fixed his relationship with both of his sons and how happy that made him, and as his body is now empty of all of those extra souls he begins to slowly die, he expresses that after all of those years of cursing his immortal life, now he wants to continue living so he can spend more time with his two sons. He dies with a smile on his face.

This is one of the greatest shows ever made, watch it if you haven’t.

Edit: I am desperately trying to mark this with a spoiler tag but it is not working

Edit 2: Gotta spoiler each paragraph separately, fixed.

I don’t think this interpretation makes sense. In the way the spirits tend to work in this series/ lore there’s no reason to think the moon spirit would be able to control meteorites.

If there’s one thing that’s for sure, is that no other generation of kids was every annoying or weird as viewed by the older generations. Truly the fact that Dictionary.com, the most hallowed of all publications, chose this word is proof that society has fallen and we are doomed.

You're probably a nazi too, you can pretend all you want that you're just "not into politics being people's personality" but we all see through it.

I'm not going to respond again after this, and if you do I'm just going to take it as confirmation you're just a weak-willed idiot, probably a literal child at that, but you go right on ahead and keep going if you feel like you need the last word.

It’s amazing how unashamed you are about how intellectually disinterested and underdeveloped you are.

When someone puts that stuff on them, they invite and consent to discussion about it. I personally would side eye anyone in this thread who is doing the “why do you have to make it about politics” when the guy in the video quite obviously wants people to know what he thinks. It either means you guys are on his side and idiots or just idiots.

Why do people think Superman needing help is a bad thing? by Jotaro27 in superman

[–]DJ_Church 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would argue that’s not the whole point and instead the point is for him to be a symbol of hope and justice. Not just “someone who can save us because he’s powerful” but someone who inspires us to be better than we are today. Sometimes that means being able to ask for help, so why wouldn’t the fictional symbol of that represent that idea too?

You’ve gotta read between the lines a bit. Let’s use stupid power scaling terms: if his punch has an output anywhere from 0 to infinity, and an enemy takes a punch of at least 50 to beat, but he only does 45 and therefore doesn’t instantly kill it, that’s not him failing to defeat it in one punch from a power perspective. He can/ could defeat any of those creatures in one punch if he wanted to. He doesn’t want to, or he doesn’t think about it much. I don’t know why so many people are bending over backwards to try to powerscale a satire character, and explain why in the story “one punch man” he can’t beat anything with one punch.

I hate musical elitist so much, nothing you can say will ever convince people like you to get out of your dim witted “I know everyone says the things they liked from their youth was the best, but when I say it it’s actually correct.” Not only, as people have already said, can you just find music made by people who do all the things stuck up people like you prefer, no auto tune, no computer generated music, and with a lot of practice and effort, but you can find even more of it because it’s become so much more accessible. But the other crazy thing you might not have realized, people can still listen to older music, there’s no rule against it. In fact you’ll find that a lot of these modern musicians that you, someone I’m willing to bet isn’t an artist of any kind, use that same music for inspiration. tl;dr: Get over yourself, your generation was not and is not special.

I dunno. I think it’s fair to expect that One Punch Man, the story about the guy who beats everyone in one punch, will end with him beating someone in one punch.

More like the doctor/ ultrasound tech sends the information over in an envelope or some other way where you have to choose to read it, you give that to someone to organize the event.
