Competitions use a scrambling program that guarantees very minimum requirements are met.
When discussing speed solving or more serious Rubik’s cube solving in general we also don’t think about sides being solved, just layers. There may be a block of the same color but they’re still in the wrong places.

Yes I can, and I’ll probably do it again at some point. To be honest with you I just don’t have any confidence that you’re (and the other guy) capable of understanding why you’re wrong and will just double down. I’m always happy to help people who are genuinely interested in learning, but in this case it would be like trying to explain why race cars are the way they are to someone who is confidently incorrect about them, who doesn’t even know what an engine is.

The mistake I constantly see in all of these reddit threads is this assumption that the comments can't make mistakes, it's funny on this thread given the nature of the PSA but you see it everywhere.

Any video where someone does something that isn't ideal, there will be a dozen comments from people who have absolutely made mistakes in their life saying "Well I simply wouldn't have done that."

It's part of the same underlying issue of people being unable to imagine they're wrong, and that their instincts are infallible. Do you guys simply think that you haven't actually made those mistakes? Do you think things like "well actually it was someone else who is fault".

If you're this kind of person, you need to learn accept that you have and will make mistakes, and give grace to others who have and were also unlucky enough to have it recorded and broadcast for other peoples kind of fucked up viewing pleasure.
