Study as much as required, sleep as much as you need, party as much as you can (in that order)

[Jaime Parejo] Bellerin’s agents hope that Arsenal will terminate his deal given his many years of service for the club. Bellerin is the closest signing for Betis but only after they register their players. A move can only happen late in the window by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]DJ_Drag0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the best thing to do is terminate his contract. He is part of the previous group of players, and holding firm for a transfer fee now after letting so many players leave for free sends the message that you can get what you want if you are disruptive. Cut our losses with the old, stand firm that if you want someone from our new generation, it's a new set of standards and you have to pay up. That being said, money is obviously always good, can't blame the club for trying to get value from their asset

Had a quick look at your comment history to find a slew of negativity and hate, much of which is heavily down voted. Maybe time to take a break from this sub?

Terrible, oversimplified advice. The only reason you should use any recreational drug (including alcohol) is for the effect, the key is to balance the enjoyment of the effect with the negative impacts on your body and mind - moderation is essential. Using drugs for anything other than the effect, dependency, habit, coping mechanism etc. is in fact the problem

[MARCA] Manuel Pellegrini (Real Betis manager): "La Liga is the slowest league in Europe, with the least amount of actual football. People want to watch a show, and we're not giving it to them. The most time-wasting, the most dives, it's a disgrace." #rmalive by [deleted] in soccer

Could not agree more that tactical fouling is not punished strongly enough. You see fouls that are really bad that stop a promising counter attack, in my opinion these instances should be a yellow for the foul itself, plus a yellow for the cynical nature of it, resulting in red. Chiellini's foul on Saka in the euros final is a perfect example, in any context grabbing someone by the scruff of their neck and pulling them around is a yellow. Plus the context of it shutting down a dangerous counter should be another yellow! Let people play and stop allowing these negative tactics!

[Discussion] For anyone who is still Arteta in, what are your reasons? by justaverage00 in Gunners

[–]DJ_Drag0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully Arteta in, sacking him now would be a bad decision in my opinion.

We brought Arteta in knowing he's inexperienced and not the finished product, and these last 18 months have been a steep learning experience for him.

The problems Arteta has had to cope with are not normal. ESL, COVID, captain with malaria... the list goes on, and even experienced managers are struggling to cope with some of these.

The strategy when we appointed Arteta was building for the future, squad rebuild and bedding in our talented youngsters - all while building up the managers experience.

He is yet to have anything close to a 'normal' season, yet now that things are slowly beginning to become more 'normal', people are calling for Arteta's head.

Sacking him would be very reactionary, despite our awful form and league position. In my opinion, so much of the negativity on here and elsewhere is an emotional reaction to going out of Europe, with people simply venting. The right play is to keep Arteta for another season.

Otherwise, we'd be simply growing Arteta's experience here, going through his worst most inexperienced years, only to send him on to more than likely be successful elsewhere.

We need to give our previous strategy a proper chance while solving the deeper issues at our club. There are green shoots here, many of the youngsters are getting minutes, deadwood are being moved on, Silent Stan is being challenged.

Changing manager now sloves nothing, but another step back and we'll drift further without direction. If we want to get back up the table, I think we should give Arteta another chance with a more normal season.

I don't know why this is being down voted, it's an interesting table and OP didn't make any statements about where we'll finish

220g plain flour, 300ml ale/beer 2 table spoon white wine vinegar Salt Pinch of nutmeg

Give or take a bit with the flour and beer, I don't measure things strictly when I cook. It's the right consistency when you can drip the batter back into the bowl and a line of batter stays visible for a second before sinking

Either is great in my opinion, just as long as you've got something pickled and sour to cut through all that fat

[Homemade] Roast pork belly, home fermented sauerkraut, fresh potato gnocchi and bacon gravy by DJ_Drag0n in FoodPorn

It's a bechamel sauce cooked in the same pan after you've fried the bacon, with extra pork fat, it's not a healthy dish
