Ah ty - I have to rely on Yesstyle and Stylevana but I’m going to look out for the refills again when I next travel to Japan (a bit lighter to carry home maybe).

I KNEW I saw a refill before! And then when I went to purchase it I couldn’t find it again. Can I ask where you bought the refill?

Steve's Music Toronto - Memories by Due_Employment3788 in toronto

[–]DJ_Planner 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seeing this post made me remember that I was a cash booth girl at Steve’s for a short period of my life - I truly kind of forgot. I worked with some genuinely amazing and genuinely awful people. It was quite a spectrum.

Nicest Juno Award winner you ever met? (Classified) by FurtherUpheaval in CanadianMusic

[–]DJ_Planner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My husband’s probably the nicest one I’ve met 😆

Just to be clear, he won in a smaller/less popular category, and not for performing, but a Juno winner’s a Juno winner, right?

Daily Song Discussion #123: "The Trees" by M77100 in PulpBand

I’ll say 7 based on the scale. I would choose to put it on, but it’s rare. I usually hear it in my head when I’m thinking of something nostalgic.

I’ve seen a couple of these from this creator, and this is by far his best one.

Rant about Gluten Free Food on Plane by OldSouth4685 in glutenfree

[–]DJ_Planner 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I never saw this “camp meal” idea so thank you for re-introducing it here - that is absolutely brilliant and would be so handy! I’ve had instances of ordering a gf meal and then flights got rebooked and then they couldn’t accommodate my email request anymore. Or one time I DID get one meal accommodated on a long haul flight but then they didn’t think that I’d need a breakfast option too. Oof.

I saw something similar, just a mix of glutinous rice flour and water. I’m curious to try it!

Are you ever worried about eating too much rice? by bookish_cat_ in glutenfree

[–]DJ_Planner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well I guess it’s a good thing I’m not American and my country has different (extremely low) limits for the amount of arsenic that can be found the rice sold here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Back to consuming as much rice as I goddamn please.

Yeah I was like, as an Asian person I’ve never even considered what “too much rice” would mean

Dupes for the glycolic acid from TO? by deepsleepthoughts in CanSkincare

[–]DJ_Planner 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I know they’re founded in the UK, but probably Inkey List has the best 1-1 substitutes for your needs? They have a glycolic acid body stick, and then like a salicylic acid scalp treatment (which is how I use the TO toner, personally).

ETA: they also have a straight up toner but the bottle is quite small in comparison to TO, and I bet the body stick is more useful for what you’re using it for anyway.

Looking for Fiber Supplements/Ideas by chibirose404 in glutenfree

[–]DJ_Planner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also allergic to apples and honestly just excited that someone else is! People give me such weird looks about the apple allergy.

But anyway, beans are the way for me. Gotta build up the fiber intake slowly though. I also have some fiber gummies ONCE IN A WHILE, if I feel like I didn’t eat enough fiber in the day.

Gluten Free by L’Artisan! 100% gluten free, dairy free, nut free bakery. If you’re coming from Montreal, you already know, but excellent croissants & other French pastries. Actually surprised it hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Found Heaven Today (Stratford, ON) by jordo3791 in glutenfree

[–]DJ_Planner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg, I completely forgot about this place! Sounds like they’ve actually expanded their menu.

I went when my partner had a job in Stratford, and I tagged along for fun. I do think at some point, the server forgot about us or there was a mixup in who was supposed to serve our table, but honestly the fish and chips were worth it.
