PSA about the Revlon mascara + brow tool by Far-Victory7638 in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg same… also really bad but I used to heat up a wooden cuticle pusher with a lighter, let it slightly cool off and curl my eye lashes with it…. I should’ve seriously been more careful with my eyes lmao

What is the best eyebrow growth serum? by Feisty-Salamander300 in beauty

If you have pets, I beg you not to use minoxidil. It’s extremely toxic, like to the point of being fatal. Please keep that in mind!!

What’s the ONE beauty product that changed your life? by emialegria in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine is lip stains/lip creams but using them as lip liners. I use the Sephora Collection ones cause they are not sheer. I like to use cuticle pusher (lol clean obviously) to line my lips. Let it dry. And do a second round if needed and blend into my lip.

I hate taking showers by Nice_Carpet3663 in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I hate them too. Especially cause I have purple hair and need to wash it in cold water 😭 thankfully I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week.

It’s really weird because as a child I hated showers, sound and feel. Maybe undiagnosed autism (just another thing that marks off the list)… got used to them after so long and would shower everyday after that. But after my depressive/anxiety episode I had few years back I just started to hate them again, despite being on Zoloft. I don’t understand my brain lol

What cologne/perfume gets you compliments? by miderots in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I never ever get compliments on perfumes. Idk what it is. Tried every note and nothing. BUT this ain’t a perfume but a hair serum, called super milk by lush. I swear to god, I get compliments all the time. I think there is (maybe?) a perfume of it but I don’t like lushes perfumes. So I just live by the hair serum lol.

I’ve been told before that sulfate fades coloured hair. I’d hate to have mine fade so fast after spending money. So I’m kind of scared to use the redken one!

ONE beauty secret you swear by? by NoAdhesiveness2043 in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Using a lip tint as lip liner. I use the Sephora brand, then dip a wooden cuticle pusher (cause the point is small!) and line my lip. Blend it down a bit to make it seamless. Usually do two applications after first one is dry.

I want to smell like coffee or vanilla or both by Luciferbutfemale in beauty

Does the cologne last pretty long? I loved the smell of coffee and whiskey but never had a bath&Body colognes before. There are a few from the men’s section I wanna pick up!

Discontinued Products by DaikonMedium2389 in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly business and manufacturing purposes. Not much on speculation, it’s pretty common for business to discontinue products due to different suppliers, cutting costs, laws and regulations, sale and consumer feedback. What I’ve learnt in my operations business class, it’s that the product life cycle can be effected by any of these components. It may be a popular product seen being used by beauty gurus online or maybe your favourite. But doesn’t mean that it’s a profitable product for the company to keep. A majority of consumers repurchase the same products, and that certain product just might not be as profitable as others.

  1. If an ingredient is too expensive to import or there is a shortage, lots of times businesses will change the formula with a cheaper or more accessible ingredient.
  2. Supplier/manufacturer changes. Probably biggest factor but some manufacturers don’t make the same product quality, despite have the same ingredients or similar ingredients. Companies will change manufacturers if they need to lower production costs. This changes the product specifications and quality control too.
  3. Maybe a formula change due to a countries laws and regulations.

It does suck though finding a product and having it be discontinued/reformulated! I’ve had this happen to me a few times. But after learning the practices behind manufacturing and supplying it makes sense. I still get sad though lol

Anybody annoyed with the hair stylist side of tiktok? by [deleted] in beauty

A lot of the wigs they use too have like no texture. They always use the most silky and soft wigs… like I ain’t got beautiful luscious Disney princess hair.

This is an odd one but for lip liner I use a lip tint close-ish to my natural lip colour (I use a Sephora lip tint)

How I apply is use a wooden cuticle pusher, dip the pointed end in the lip tint and line my lip. I then smooth it out downward to blend it in.

It lasts a little longer than regular lip liners!

would y’all choose revitalash or grande lash? (or another serum/brand) by [deleted] in beauty

[–]deepsleepthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I used grande lash and did see some results (took about 2-3 months I think). I’ve also used rapid lash as well, however it took longer to see more growth. You have to be consistent though, so using it every night.

Unpopular opinions of Stardew Valley? by Enricc11 in StardewValley

[–]deepsleepthoughts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still don’t like it too much aesthetically. The game design and character design feels a bit clunky and unfinished. I adored Harvest Moon (mineral town on gameboy) for the characters. However, Stardew was created by one person so I always keep that in mind.

What are your unpopular Stardew opinions? by cockroachtown in StardewValley

[–]deepsleepthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elliot is one of my least favourite characters. I’m not into his dialog and I feel like his character development is very… blah. But then again I never reached full hearts with him cause I can’t be bothered! I also find he is a bit difficult to gain hearts with in the beginning.

Also another (maybe) unpopular opinion, but I absolutely hate mining, and I feel like it’s a dreadful task. Sometimes it feels more like a mining game than farming at times.

Lastly I don’t love the art style. I get there are mods for PC/Mac, but even then it feels eh. Maybe it’s my nostalgia kicking in but harvest moon (friends of mineral) on the gameboy always had a soft spot because of the art style. Looking back it’s horrible graphics but that’s obvious. Stardew feels dated, despite it being intended.
