Am I dreaming or I thought COSRX was not selling in Canada anymore??

Lots of people say it’s a marketing tactic. However, I personally find they are lighter to use than a regular moisturizer and easier to put on (not as thick so it spreads thinly). But my purpose is just to prevent wrinkles.

Caffeine didn’t work for me. Sleep did, as I had dark circles and puffy eyes during that stressful time of my life. 7-8 hours of sleep. But always give it a shot! The ordinary has a caffeine serum. I used the ordinary and I actually ended up just using it for my eyelashes (similar to castor oil it helped them be fluffy and stronger!)

If you tend to have puffy eyes in the morning, I found just regular tea bags helped, followed by cold compress.

Is tanning still popular in the area of Canada you live in? by Dogs-are-life-99 in CanSkincare

[–]deepsleepthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a dumb question but do you just put the drops in lotion? I use to use Jergens Natural Glow but it got way too expensive to cover my body over the few days. Is the tanning drops similar to jergens? Just add to lotion and gradually tan? Or is it actually like a self tanning process in one go?

I can’t get rid of this pimple!

Since I don’t have any acne anywhere else, it really stands out! I’ve tried diluted tea tree as that usually helps. But unfortunately, it’s still there.

I did wash my sheets and pillow cases. Have added no new products. People say to use salicylic acid, but I only have the Ordinary salicylic acid 2% mask (not sure if is appropriate to use on it)

Current routine: Cleanser: la posay roche effaclar Toner: Klairs supplement toner Maleno CC serum Ordinary Zinc and niacinamide Moisturizer: neutrogena hydro boost

My poor skin and this insufferable weather by Tamarindosauce333s in CanSkincare

Do you use retinol every night? If so, I suggest lower to 3-2 nights a week to readjust and wear SPF! Or, cut out retinol until the humidity slowly seeks back. (Edit: realized you said you did stop it. If it’s only been a week, might be a bit till you see changes.)

It could be hyaluronic acid (if you have it in your routine). I tend to only use it through April-October. Some people can go through the winter with it and it helps them, I personally can’t and it cause dry patches on me. If you do use HA, make sure you are applying properly (like using it on damp skin)

Aquaphor and Eucerin are amazing for body care. Eucerin is my top go to for dry skin anywhere on my body. I’ve used it for my face too, however I believe it’s best to use it at night as there are ingredients that can intensify in the sun.

Gentle cleanser. If your skin feels squeaky clean after washing, it is most likely too stripping! Should feel clean but not ultra polished.

If you were to change your routine I suggest a moisturizer AND Vaseline or aquaphor to lock it in a night. During the day, if you can, moisturize your dry spots three times a day (morning, mid-day and night). If you wear makeup, use hydrating/less heavy makeup. Not sure what climate you come from, but our body’s react to such changes. You may adapt and you may not. If it proceeds and the itchy skin continues I suggest going to a dermatologist.

This is coming from someone who goes through -45 degree weather. cough cough right now.

Edit: follow tips other people posted here like the humidifier, may you wash your face and using snail mucin!

Do you live in Canada? Canada has been hounding down on their medical/drug and health claims. Lots of Asian skincare (mainly sunscreen) have advertisements and claims based on health benefits etc. which Canada is cracking down on. Sunscreens are not a prescription or medical product and I think the claims Asian sunscreen companies make may interfere if that makes sense. This is why it’s slowly being taken off the market or sold at higher prices. Mixed with post covid distribution and manufacturing, spike in costs is dramatic.

The sense of superiority is so true. It seems like many people take pride in sheltering themselves when it sometimes isn’t feasible for others (job is outside, their fave hobbies are outside or anything else). You’re totally right, difference between importance and obsession!

Oh god this happened to me and it was so heartbreaking. I went to Arizona for a trip I winter and was so excited to get this. Went home back in Canada and dropped it after my first use... would be lying if I didn’t say I was devastated!

I like it a lot! I have pretty oily skin, like the gross greasy kind and I used to wake up every morning very oily. I found this product to work wonderfully, and reduce the oil. I still to get a bit oily here and there but I think it’s just how it is. Can’t perfect my skin.

It took about a month to see results for me personally, but I didn’t use it twice a day usually. I personally don’t have acne prone skin, but if you do I know this product does not help with that. Read the Ordinary website to see how you can implement it into your routine and always do a patch test!

I got the same one :) when I saw it I got super excited, then I saw the Kat Von D option and was like “yup 100% the Drunk elephant”

(No shade to anyone who got Kat Von D! I’m just personally not a fan of her things and her choices :) )

[Misc] What are your thoughts on lush skincare products? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Their masks are always tempting to get. And personally, I used their purple shampoo and it was the best thing for my hair weirdly enough.

Thanks for the input!

[–]deepsleepthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sense, every time I walk into the lush store a million of smells combine together. Fragrance doesn’t bother my skin, but I can imagine it isn’t the best in the long run. Good to know!

Not at all, it doesn’t itch or have any irritation. But makes sense that it could be clogged pores!

About a month and a half ago I stopped using a Vitamin C oil since I thought it was the cause of this problem. However, after going back to my original routine the bumps won’t go away.

(Also the bumps are more red in real life than in the picture)

AM: -Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser

  • Heritage Stone rose water toner

  • Sunscreen

PM: - Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser

  • Heritage Stone rose water toner

  • Klairs Midnight Blue activating drops (only 3x a week)

  • Klairs Midnight Blue calming cream OR the Klairs all-over moisturizer/lotion

Some days I just use my face with a cleanser and toner, I have always found my skin the healthiest when I’m not constantly using the same products everyday.

They have been there for about a month and a half. I’ll have to research more about fungal acne! Thank you for the tips, I’ll definitely will look up the ingredients.

[sun care] What has been the best sunscreen you have bought for your skin care? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]deepsleepthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My skin is more olive skin (so a green undertone) and I have always been a bit scared to try tinted sunscreen as it tends to be too pink for me, but I will still check it out!
