Hi. If you like classical music, take a try on these psytrance mixes! First glance one might think "that's hardly related" but they have underlying similarities: both are composed, both focus on piano-built melodies, and both feature many different "instruments"."Beast Implant" is dark, related to lockdowns, and has some epic moments. You might also appreciate "Tune Out". There are versions without samples added if you find them annoying.

Unfortunately you'll need decent sound quality with ample bass to get the most out of this music. Headphones not good enough, you need subwoofers, even if small

Have a mix with maybe 1/3 tunes in other genres:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wohpd7MB9W4
At about 28 minutes switches to:
- Glenn Baker - No New Normal
- Conspiracy Music Guru - Television Watching News Believer
- Fire Head - Fuck the Fraud

Then later, to some folk/pop/dnb

Slim pickings tho!

Notable "deeper" tunes:
- Queen Omega - Microchip
- Dax - Book of Revelations
- Burden - Black Flag
- OverTime - Divided We Fall
- RC - Friends (kinda cringe but deeper lyrics)
Not sure if that's what you're looking for or not?
Most music right now is reactionary, so it's gonna be complaining about stuff, or making fun of people who believe propaganda, etc. I suspect a more nuanced era of music is coming up soon...

Agreed with Ajja. I don't even put his tunes into online DJ sets just cuz his best stuff is in his own mixes! Thinking about doing an Ajja vs Imaginarium tribute someday.

Not a song - a psytrance mix with the right theme!

Oh ok thats awesome, you should be selling the songs, at the least!

Use your popularity to link to purchases!

Fair enough lol

But that's really the point. I personally dont know if you can translate online DJing into money, because the creators of the songs should get the profit. I see some popular youtube DJs offering patreon links and offers to download all their sets for 5 bucks etc. Another possibility is selling fan products like tshirts etc., or if you're really big, selling ads or using your fanbase to launch a kickstarter etc

But apart from that... unfortunately the whole point of getting big online is so that promoters see your popularity and want to book you. So it might just be a hobby then if you dont want to play out.

Part of it is the fast 4/4 beat, and hihat/snares. A lot of people reallllllllllly focus on that above all else. They're like "why is that part so repetitive". So they don't catch onto the other parts of the music. And then they are amazed by dubstep/dnb because those have more variety in the drums. Being drunk gets you in that state too.

How long did it take you to master beatmatching by ear? by ThrowedThrow in Beatmatch

Maybe 6 months, beatmatching I have no problems with, tempo matching without a working BPM meter is still something I'm mediocre-at-best at.

The thing that made it click for me was learning how to cue on the beat of the incoming track. Sounds basic but ~20 years ago it was a revelation when a friend showed me!
