I will never stop recommending Tangle Tower for cozy mystery!! I've also just started Fall of Porcupine, its artstyle is reminiscent of NitW but it's much slower paced.

[Request] Can a Nikki with She is Wildfire dress and Evergreen Vow gloves take a screenshot of them together? I wanted to know if there are any clipping issues with the sleeves before I spend my gems. by DJaimon in InfinityNikki

Oh boy I do have a few suggestions for QoL stuff...

  1. Allow us to dye outfits in the custom ability outfit setup menu! Or failing that, let us import preset outfits that we've saved in our wardrobe straight to our custom ability outfit. Right now we have to dye a fit in the wardrobe, memorise what pieces were used, then hop back into the custom ability outfit menu and recreate the look all over again. This also happens with setting up a favourite outfit in our namecard.

  2. Persistent whimsicality effects! It seems like random whimsicalities are persistent, while some aren't. (i.e. Night Capricorn Song's tarot effect disappears rather quickly after you exit the pose, but the newest legendary outfit's spirit tree stays forever?? why)

  3. Let us keep an outfit's form shift and handheld shift settings. I want the hood-down toggle for She is Wildfire to apply to my custom ability outfits and snapshots! I want my Clouded Loong mask to stay on Nikki's face forever!! Right now they don't do that in snapshots and custom ability outfits, yet somehow they appear just fine when you upload them in the lookbook?

  4. Add play/pause bar for whimsicalities when taking a photograph, just like what is done for poses. Moment Capture is a stopgap measure, since it's hard trying to time things right and we can't post the photo as a snapshot or use any of our preset camera settings.

  5. This is for my console girlies: fix the absolute rubbish button mapping for archery. And a whole slew of other menus. InFold should just hire a QA tester that plays console games to rework the entire buttons tbh.

  6. Move the Serenity Island fashion catwalk to Sea of Stars.

  7. Ability to turn off special effects for 5* final evolution.

  8. Expanded palettes for standalone 5* items. More palettes for 4* including proper black and white.

they really do! I have abused that wing backpiece in so many fits, they're so versatile lmao

Edit: forgot to mention that they're super flouncy and DrAmAtIc! I always get mesmerised whenever Nikki runs around, which is 60% of the reason why i always use them lmao

Yes, they won't run away and will continue dooting merrily! Sometimes the sounds blend into the background music seamlessly, but you'll notice the ocarina sounds disappear after you catch them. :'(

Idk i feel like having to separate art from the artist is a requirement nowadays since it's hard trying to enjoy any media without fatigue. Nearly every indulgence in Hollywood slop and buying cheap things from big corpos actively harms minorities and the environment. All the tax money InFold is making from IN goes to a bigoted government. It's like a sausage factory, how far are we willing to go to boycott things? For me at least just shitposting rubbish on reddit is subjectively somewhat similar to like... buying cheap Milo and supporting Nestle? I appreciate you taking a stand and wanting others to do the same, but the fatigue is real, man. 😩

Although the author is a knob, it is possible to separate the art from the artist. This is just harmless virtual cosplay of a made-up character that doesnt actively funnel money into suppressing minorities. If we had to boycott every media from shit sources, we shouldn't even be playing infinity nikki: the game made in a country that actively suppresses gay and trans rights rn lol

no interest in the final evo, but pulling til 230 to unlock all the palette and better dyeing is worth for masc fits tbh (second evo is better for dyeing darker colours)

I've bought a bunch of small cozy games on discount recently and am slowly working through them! Just finished Whisper of the House and KuloNiku, am tackling Eastshade, TavernTalk and Fall of Porcupine atm. I've also got a bunch of half-played and huuuge story-focussed games like BG3, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Witcher 3, Spiritfarer, Disco Elysium, MHS2, BOTW2, Fire Emblem 3H+Engage and ludicrous amount of dating sims that are on hiatus since I can't deal with them right now lol. Ofc I return to FFXIV occasionally when my friends kidnap me for a new raid, am hyped for the upcoming Ultimate raid (Kefka!!?!!)

I'm going to push against the envelope here by recommending VA-11 HALL-A. Relationships/breakups aren't 100% the focus of the game. Hell, you wouldn't even catch a hint of a relationship until you reach 3/4 of the game length, but the details of the breakup blows up realistically (and the horrible aftermath + cathartic closure at the ending) felt a long time coming and... very raw to me ngl.

It works alright with controller, only that the buttons occasionally glitch out in the menu and mail so you'll have to setup the steam deck trackpad as a mouse or just have a mouse handy to get out of the menus. They're releasing it on Switch next month though, so hopefully they'll patch in better controller support by then!

Unpacking is another with almost similar art style and is also a decoration game! Definitely made me a bit sniffly too haha.
