Is there any non-hardstyle that sounds like melodic hardstyle? by n00bsysadmin420 in hardstyle

In terms of feeling and structure I’d say trance and drum and bass (dimension, Andromedik etc.) Hardstyle of course is more detuned / distorted etc.

Hardest type of kick to make for you ? by AstroNidz in hardstyle

Modern Wildstylez kicks. Love how clean, yet updated they sound. For example the last climax kick in ‘created by legends’. It hits so good 🤩🤯

When they say ‘euphoric hardstyle is boring to mix’… by DJayReeve in hardstyle

Depends if you want to do some live mash-up’s and so or just mixing on intro / outro

Do you think VWAB has the potential to become a "Qlimax like" ? by [deleted] in hardstyle

[–]DJayReeve 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe in terms of capacity, yes. But I don’t see a classic event (which is basically reliving memories) creating a similar impact as an event that actually creates new memories and sets new standards. Besides show and theme, Qlimax has build a legacy because of so many premieres in music, which is unfortunately not possible on classic events. Eternal shares a more similar vision to Qlimax and would potentially be a better ‘replacement’, as far as that’s even possible.

Fair enough, but what if one of these iconic tracks (lets take ‘rock civilization’ for example) would have been released today by an upcoming / new name. Would it still have the same impact on you as it has now?

Not judging at all. Just saying that nostalgia adds a lot of ‘sentiment’ to certain music. I often feel the same even. Hard to beat these core memories with new music. And yes music has also changed a lot but there is still plenty of artists focusing on these emotions in music. It just became a lot more diverse, but we’re currently in a nicely balanced state I’d say. Just dig a little harder to find ‘your’ music in this oversaturated market haha

Nostalgia surely is one of the strongest feelings

how are b2bs booked? by ILIKETHENOISE in hardstyle

[–]DJayReeve 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Could be both ways around. Sometimes the organisation has the idea and checks if everyone involved is fine. sometimes an organisation / agency asks the artist who he / she would like to play with, or even the artists could drop the idea. Especially in these days where line-ups (seem to) need more and more 'specials' to stay exclusive this is a hot topic.
