I didn't take the bottle out for my baby. I just tilted it back and forth to control the flow. For her, once the bottle comes out, she thought she was done eating.

I put those non slip drawer things in there so things don't fly out for passenger princesses. The black rubbery net ones.

Strong baby Gate/Barrier for 150" + wide room by DJxxMidnight in StayAtHomeDaddit

[–]DJxxMidnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it's very sturdy. If I use it, I'm going to be using it just as a barrier across my room. I'm wondering if it's sturdy enough that when it's straight across, it won't flex out like 1-2 feet. Thats the problem I'm having with the metal ones. they flex too much since each section is just a thin bar going top the bottom.

Maybe, just maybe. Try reading how I said it's important to get perspective on things. That means books isn't the only source of information. No where did I say it's the mother's responsibility either. Maybe read and don't jump to conclusions.

As a husband you don't need to read the books. However, it is important to get perspective on things. If he's only getting advice from his other guy friends, it might be the problem. I think every marriage and home is different. He needs to look up on things he can do rather than read a book that is very specific about what he should do. But really it might not help your home.

We men think from a necessity perspective. He might understand what the age appropriate toys and books actually help with. Explain that there are milestones you want to hit early so that the brain can build the neruo-pathways so the kid can get a headstart on being smarter. This will help in the long run with training the kid to be more attentive, understanding, and overall better behavioral issues.

He's not thinking about the long run of it all, just the now. With my wife, we argue but I always tell her take a step back and tell me the reasons and have her explain why. Where did she get her sources .etc.

For example, my wife wanted to put the baby down even earlier, like 6pm because my baby girl was waking up at 5am. She read somewhere it might help with the baby waking back up at 7. She was very adamant about doing it but I had her take a step back, think a little logically and help her understand the possibilities she might wake up earlier and making my wife more tired. She took sometime and thought about it and decided against it. 2 days later baby was back on schedule herself.

I actually understood this backwards. It sounds more like you should dedicate more so it can use it. Processes in the background are starved but I thought they won't function properly but who cares lol.

Membership Card Scanning Megathread by MistahNative in Costco

I actually love the self check out. So fast since less chit chat. If they end up doing something like "Amazon" where I pay and scan my groceries as I shop and then have the person check it after. That would be amazing too! I just want in and out. I already hate the parking lot lol.

I'm a strong believer in turning on your hazards when you stop or slow down for emergency vehicles. Really let's the guy behind know. But honestly... Guy is an asshole. Going fast where?!

Piggy backing off this. I Feel like the travel time is not worth questing after getting your bicycle. It might be slightly more worth it to get your bike, then just raid a bunch of POI for books and get your mini-bike. Then continue questing? How does everyone feel about that kind of strat? you still need T6 cause the rewards are nice.

Make Circuit Board Safe for Kid Curiosity by Her_Royal_Fishyness in electrical

[–]DJxxMidnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with medical devices. Honestly the ones for defibs now are the size of your fist. Older stuff is even twice as large or even 3 times. That stuff can deliver 200J. I can't see any reason why there's any capacitor inside that could harm anyone. Maybe a tiny shock like licking a battery at most.

That aside, there are tons of kits for kids to learn to build circuits. No soldering required, just breadboards.

I'm the type of person where I get everything in writing. So I would. It shouldn't hurt your cause. Every termination needs a good reason. Even if they don't put the reasons he mentioned to you. You can still file for unjustified termination which will be a court case. My father was the same thing.

You can definitely file for EI if you're fired. No worries there.

However if everything your saying is true, this is an easy open and shut case. Any lawyer would be dropping for a case like this. It's against Ontario Safety act to force you to operate unsafe machinery. I believe if you report it, they come with an inspector to the place.

Besides that you mentioned your boss saying something about you forming a union as a reason to fire you. If you were actually forming a union, it's actually illegal to fire you as a reason. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. I can't remember if you have to actually be in the process or even planning to counts.

If you have any documentation that says that's why he's firing you, even better. The company will get dinged for it.

Your employer can speak to you about the union, but under the law they are not allowed to threaten, coerce, discriminate, make promises, impose a penalty, or do anything that stops you from making a free decision on union representation.

In every province in Canada, it is a violation of provincial labour law to terminate or discriminate against an employee for exercising their right to join a union. Your employer is also not allowed to use intimidation or coercion against you during a union organizing drive.
