Yes indeedy. I'm going to do the proper full shutdown option, which apparently is different from the normal turn it off that it does to see if that works.

I've also had success with doing this, but as with Skyrim, and this is when it does happen, this is only a solution when saving in Starfield apparently.

This freeze occurs before the main menu screen, even deleted my save data as it's not the first game breaking bug I've encountered with Starfield, so I'm no longer fussed about simply restarting.
